Always Stay Humble and Kind - DIY Wall Hanging

Creating your own wall hanging can be a simple process with just a few supplies.  Let's walk through one I recently made with supplies from SRM Stickers and Jillibean Soup.
DIY Farmhouse Decor

Gather Your Supplies:

To make this piece you will need White Vinyl (Mine comes from SRM Stickers), a Wood Plank Mix the Media Board (there are several options available here), Vinyl Transfer Paper, Patterned Paper for Flowers (I used Farmhouse Stew), Brads, and Green Cardstock.

Create Your Wall Hanging:

  • Cut Out Your Quote using an Electronic Cutting Machine of Your Choice.
  • Use Transfer Paper to transfer it over to your Wood Background
  • Cut out Flowers and Leaves using a Cutting Machine of Your Choice.
  • Secure the leaves with a Dual Tip Glue Pen and the Flowers using Adhesive Dots.

One of my favorite Bible Verses is James 1:17 - how perfect is it that one of my favorite Bible Journaling Margins to date also includes that verse?  I am joining you today with a journaling piece featuring the Bible Margins Rejoice stamps.

**I receive products from SRM Stickers for use in my projects. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience and doing so I can share what I personally love to use.**
I incorporated several additional stamps and some mixed media into this piece as well.

To create my background I combined Distress Oxides along the edge with splatters of mist in a coordinating color.  Then I began to stamp!  Along the border I stamped with one of the stamps from Bible Borders. I love that cross one! I used the Just Believe Stamp to create additional flowers and then doodled some leaves of my own using the Black  Le Pen.

I colored in my stamps using simple brush markers and that's it! Not complicated but still a beautiful piece to reflect on as I read James!

Bible Verse Bookmarks

Who's loving the new Bible Journaling releases from SRM Stickers?!? I am joining you today with some bookmarks using the Bible Margins Stamp sets. For these I worked with the Bible Margins Light and Bible Margins Rejoice Set.  These were quick to make and a really enjoyable way to get creative over the recent holidays!
For each of the bookmarks I combined Distress Oxide inks with stencils and created a unique background.  This was new for me and was a really fun way to explore this technique.  I then stamped the margins stamps in black.  This one features the Bible Margins Rejoice Set.

In addition to the black stamping I used my Black Le Pen to color in some parts.  It really stands out on this red one!  I also incorporated Bakers Twine in making my tassels.  This one features the Bible Margins Light stamp set.

I laminated the front of these bookmarks so that they would hold up a little longer.

This one I used a little different approach and used some wet mixed media to create the background - although I love the end result, I was having fun with stencils and decided to stick with that for the rest.

Bible Verse Cards - SRM Stickers

The new Bible Margins stamps from SRM Stickers don't have to just be used in your Bible!  There's a huge variety of crafts you can do with these beautiful stamps! I am joining you today to share a simple set of cards featuring the Bible Margins Stamps that I created from the Creativation Show booth for SRM!
This set features one stamp from each of the new Bible Margins Sets.

This is the Bible Margins Rejoice Set.  I simply stamped this with a Distress Oxide Ink and then used a sponge to go over the butterfly with the same ink.  I added some pretty patterned paper from Paper House Productions to each card.

This one features the Bible Margins Light Stamp Set.  I love the different icons included in this set to represent light!

Finally I used the Bible Margins Love set!  This is a beautiful set featuring verses that are great for a variety of occasions...but most definitely will work for those Valentines as well!

As you can see, these are not at all complicated cards but still turned out beautifully!  I love that these stamps just need a little bit of ink and paper to make them into a real treat!

How to Create Stunning Watercolor Techniques
I punched the two leaves out from a watercolor background I made.  Doesn't it add a lovely, whimsical element?  The more I play with watercolor, the more I love the softness it adds.

The sentiment comes from the Child of God stamp set  from SRM Stickers and it is a versatile set great for cards and so much more.

Let me know if you have any questions on this unique product - I'll be happy to share my experience with you!  Here's my supply list along with affiliate thumbnails - click on any of them to check out the products up close!

Bible Journaling and Sermon Notes for Kids and Adults

Who likes to take Sermon Notes?  I'll admit it's a bit of a foreign concept for me on a live basis because I am married to a pastor....so I'm fending for myself in the pew with four kiddos.  But I just got some new Bible Journaling and Sermon Notes stamps from SRM Stickers and wanted to use them in some ideas for kids and adults. Today I have a couple ideas of how to go in with some ready made creations to add your sermon notes into!  The first project involves a traveler's notebook.  The second is a mini book for kids.

Let's kick things off with a video walk thru of how I created these two projects:

Now let's take a close-up look at these projects - here's the full spread in my traveler's notebook.

The notebook combines the use of the Sermon Notes Stamp Set, The Amen Frames Stamp Set, and the Bible Background Stamp Set (never fear I will have links down below).

The Bible Background Stamp set was perfect for adding some interest to my punched out butterflies!

I made the kids notebook Black and White so that it could be colored.

Then I set my 10 year old loose on coloring! This is the cover page - packed with the Sermon Notes Stamp Set.

Here's one of the inside pages with just the black and white.

My goal was just to leave enough room for a little bit of note-taking and then places to doodle and color.

Here's what it looks like when she filled in one week!

So there you have it, a couple of ideas for you on how to start using those new stamps in your Sermon Note taking on Sunday morning!
