This month all of the SOS DT members and I will be bringing to you layouts that are circular or have circles. Since Santa Claus will soon circle the world I thought it would be fun to create a layout this month which includes them :)
Be sure to come play along! We love to see and show your work too! Email groovydeb@yahoo.com with Circle Around in the subject line and I will get back to you with a date of when we can show it this month right here from SOS Blogspot :)
Here comes mine! I am already missing Summer SO much that I dug out a few pics to keep me in that happy place ;) I added circular embellies and also cropped a few pics to circles and PRESTO this is what happened...
P.S. Here is a fun tip for you...See the circles behind my daughter with alphabet letters? That was actually a picture I took of her beach towel and I punched it out. Try it! Lots of fun!!!

Pagerize Karen by Elizabeth!
Remember we are Pagerizing Karen this month? Well,Elizabeth is back today with her version. Here is a reminder of Karen's and a reminder to send yours in! We may choose your layout to Pagerize next time!!!
Deb♥
As soon as I saw Karen's scrap page, I just had to pagerize it. I've chosen to scrap a photo taken of my son 42 years ago - the first professional photo taken of him. Although it's a black and white shot, I remember that he was dressed in palest green so I chose papers with green for the page. I've moved the photo cluster up to the right of the page, but otherwise it is more or less the same layout as Karen's. Elizabeth

Tear It by Tammy
I love the challenge this month because I forgot how much I like the look of torn paper--I haven't done it in so long. I love the way this layout turned out. These are photos of my three kids eating Thanksgiving dinner at their grandparents house back in 2010. I tore the paper and then inked the torn edges lightly. The paper is Bella Blvd and Jillibean Soup, and all the embellies are from Bella Blvd. Now it's your turn to give this challenge a try!

Tear It by Charlotte
Charlotte said this about her layout:
So fun to get to tear paper again! This was something that I used to do alot of, but somehow forgot about! This challenge was a great reminder about a technique that I really like the look of! I used a line of Bo Bunny papers called Serenity that I've had for quite awhile. Feels good to use up some of my stash. http://scrapsational-char.blogspot.ca/
Here are the exact details about our challenge for November: Breakout the scraps of paper and start tearing! Create a layout using those torn papers in small amounts or abundance. You choose! Then, email groovydeb@yahoo.com with your layout. You may be chosen to be our guest of the month with your participation :) Now it's YOUR turn to play!

Serendipity by DT of the Month, Tamara
One last post by our Designer of the Month, Tamara! She has done a wonderful job of sharing projects all month and each were just as beautiful as the next. Each of these is using the Serendipity method tearing paper into pieces for use on her layouts. It fits in perfectly to our Tear It Challenge!!!
Enjoy and big thanks to Tamara for a wonderful month!

This month we are pagerizing Karen's beautiful layout! Here is hers again as a reminder and mine will follow hers. Mine is a layout to go in my youngest daughter's albums showing her at dance recital 2012. I chose bluebird paper because I call her bluebird as a nickname :) TFL and we hope you will play too!

Pagerize Wendy by Tamara
We are going backwards today to show you a layout DT member made when she pagerized Wendy. We did not have a chance to show it yet so let's first remember Wendy's then hear what Tamara said and see how she interpreted this layout :)
Deb♥
These photos of our last home were the
perfect pics to use on this layout. Loved the three photos matted down the right side. Embellishments were easy to add and this layout whipped up in no time at all. By using a pattern paper for my background, it was just the right amount of busy for this page. Thanks Wendy for the inspiration. I think this set-up is one that I will use again. Tear It by Elizabeth
I still find tearing beautiful patterned paper difficult but that is the challenge so I stealed myself and added a torn piece of Ruby Rock-It's Flourish Vintage and attached it to the lower edge of this page, another for my family history album. The base and the fussy cut flower trim is from the BoBunny Serenity collection. I stamped around the edge with a Victoria and Albert Museum leaf trim and added a chandelier, from Kaisercraft's Le Chateau set, to the top right corner. The lace and trims are vintage style, as is the Prima locket which can be opened to reveal photos of my great-grandparents. I can't say I will ever find tearing paper easy but I do like the effect on this layout.
Hope you like it too.

Great idea... LOTS of scraps here!
Had several pieces of red and pink partial sheets of paper left from
making October Breast Cancer Awareness Month cards so... that's what I reached for.
Used a photo I've been itching to use too of last February's Starbucks LOVE Cup.
Lurve the Love cup and I love coffee... so a page theme was born.
Page base is a piece of black card-stock layered over with torn strip of red and pink paper
layered over each other, edges all inked.
Here's a secret:
Under the photo the strips are NOT connected.
There wasn't enough paper to reach right across so I had
to cut the shorter strips in 2, lay them across from each other and then
cover the gap with the big photo.
Letters, hearts, gems and coffee stickers are leftovers from other projects.
Cheers!

Tear It by Ange
HI! I can't believe we're on to the November Scrap Our Stash challenge already. This year has really flown by. But we have a super fun challenge for you this month: Tear it! Yep, it's that easy. Here's my layout:
I really dug for these papers. I'm not even sure if this kit is from last year, two years ago or... you get the idea. But I still love the papers and don't they look great with those pics of my little guy? Those pictures were from my stash too. lol Here I decided to do a lot of tearing, mostly the patterned paper but as you can see I tore my main photo and my journaling block also. Why not? Just go for it.
I inked the pp's and over the top of the pumpkin garland along the bottom. It was brighter than I wanted so I added some brown ink to tone it down a bit.
I would love to see your take on this challenge this month. So don't forget to send in what you've made with a little or a lot of tearing. Have fun! :)Ange

Tear It by Haley
Tearing paper is so much fun and can yield such great effects! For my layout of our camping trip to the Asheville, NC, area, I tore my paper to simulate the mountains. With white core cardstock, if you tear the paper toward you, you will reveal the white core. Since I didn't want snowy mountains (or frothy waves, another great use of torn paper), I tore my paper away from me. To further highlight the mountains, I inked up the edges in the same Twilight ink as the cardstock. If you look closely, you can even see "mountains" behind some of my photos.
If you'd like to see my layout up close and learn more, be sure to visit my blog at http://inkyscrapper.blogspot.com. I hope to see YOUR torn paper layout featured here this month too!

Pagerize #24
Thanks for all the GREAT entries for Pagerize This #23 where we pagerized Wendy! That was fun! No time to let the fun stop so this month we are going to Pagerize our designer Karen!!!
She has said this about her layout
I decided to make a LO for the upcoming Remembrance day coming up here in the UK in November. This summer we visited my Great Grandfather's war grave in Belgium, he died in the First World War. The photo is of Nancy at the grave side ( so her Great Great Grandfather) its called "she will remember them" based on a line from the Laurence Binyon poem For the Fallen which is read out at Remembrance Day services.
I thought there were a few things people might use to Pagerize the LO
- the 6x6 Paper
-the tags and bits of stuff tucked behind
- something to remember a serving or old soldier in the family
- butterflies
- or the use of the scrap strip on the LO
...and now it is time for you to get started scraplifting her layout into one of your own! Make sure you send it to groovydeb@yahoo.com with PAGERIZE This #24 in the subject line and we may just choose your layout next month to pagerize!!!

Tear It by Debbie
Debbie said this about her layout:
Now that we are in the month of November, many of us may be scrapping those Halloween photos. I took a set of photos from a few years back that I wanted to put on a page. I loved tearing the background patterned paper. It is really quite cathartic! I made a couple of the tears into peek-a-boo windows. I pulled my color palette from the photos that I used. I hope you will join us in this fun challenge this month! We are looking forward to seeing what you create!

Pagerize Wendy by Groovy Deb♥
It's the last day to Pagerize Wendy! Here is hers once more and then mine will follow :)
Deb♥
I took from Wendy's using blue and the three photos on the right side of my left page. Wow that was a mouthful lol! I also liked how she embellished her page so I embellished mine on the left of those pics like she did. Thanks to Wendy for helping me to get this in the book! I even added a second page!!! This was my daughter Katelyn's 8th birthday. We went out for a mani/pedi and had a good time :)
TFL!

This layout brings so much happiness to me every time I see these photos of my grandson Brennan. His Mom thought he would do good at soccer. She wanted him to run out some energy. He totally just goofed off at every game, and was not even into it. I grabbed these pics on the sidelines. This shows his over active personality in action! I used my triangle punch to create a border with personality placing them off just a bit. Then I added embellishments, my title and some journaling.

Wendy K said this about her layout:
Tearing is such an easy technique because you really can't mess it up however it's something I haven't done in awhile. I really like using this technique with white-core paper! I used a sketch from My Sketch World. Visit My Scrapbooking Blog for details.

Wendy C said this about her layout:
How fun is it to use up some scraps that just can't be thrown away! I love this Halloween text paper and found the perfect use for it. I also used up some bits of Kraft paper. Since the photos were of my kids making a mess, the photo mat just had to be torn up too. What a fun challenge! And great way to "clean" up the desk!

Tear It by Tamara
Tamara said this about her layout:
I love to tear and create some serendipity. On this layout I just tore small pieces, inked them up and placed them along the bottom of the photo. Pattern papers make for a pretty scenario on this one. I also tore the edges of the pattern paper in the upper right hand corner. I love the extra embellishment feel that this kind of tearing creates for my layout.

I added 3D flowers for embellishments, added the banner in the corner and labeled the event. This is now my favorite new darling Christmas item I get to look at on my desk!

Hello SOS Friends!
I am sharing a layout with you today that I created for our Tear It Challenge. This is one technique that I struggle with and hardly ever use. I find it hard to rip and or tear perfectly new paper, but I was so happy how this layout turned out and the paper tearing worked perfectly with the theme of my page.
I created my layout using some of my old Echo Park Apothercary Stash, some Recollection embellies and a sketch by Nathalie. For more details on products and to see the sketch visit my blog: granddivasscrappyplace.blogspot.com
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you get a chance to show SOS how you use your torn papers!

Tear It by Karen
Our designer, Karen said this about her layout :
MY LO for the tear it up challenge broke my normal paper rules.
I tore into a whole brand new sheet of paper for this and it nearly broke my heart as I intended just to use scraps. Still I'm really pleased with the result as I used both sides of the paper and it looks really pretty.
The Lo is a picture of my daughter eating an ice cream on holiday in the summer. I used some pretty ice cream colours torn into strips and layered up at the side of the photo.
