Good morning everyone, I hope you are enjoying this Memorial Day Weekend. As promised, here is the card that does double duty!
First of all this was the card used for the challenge over at Copic Creations. This is a wonderful site if you want practice using your Copics.
Also this is one of the cards that I submitted for an online design team. The stamp is a Digi Stamp. Now what is that you ask? Many online companies offer digital stamps. You purchase the jpg file and the images come to you zipped up in a file. All you do is download them to your computer and print them off! This is the company that I bought them from Fred, She Said. They have many wonderful images that lend themselves beautifully to coloring.
One thing that I did notice is that depending upon the coloring medium that I was using, since the images were printed from my inkjet, there was an issue of smudging. I'm going to try to copy them using a tonal copier, which should elminate the smudging.
The card was made with acetate and on the acetate I painted it with our new Shimmerz Paints. Let's just say I am loving these paints and am hoping to play with them a little bit more.
Have a great day everybody and I'm working the crop tonight, so don't hesitate to drop by and say hello!

OK, So I had to break out my Canoe...
Wow, I didn't realize that Florida could get so much rain. I mean I've lived here for about 11 years and have survived many a hurricane season, but this past week has been crazy, it's been raining hard every day. It's like living in England or Seattle! Let's just say all this rain and humidity is NOT good for my hairstyle - LOL.
The one good thing is that I've had some time to dig out my stamps and play a little. I've been working on using digital stamps and they've been a blast. The nice thing about them is that once you download them, you can change them to any size you need.
The flower was part of a set that I bought from a company I found online called Fred, She Said. They have adorable images and I just loved their sea & mermaid images.
I'll post another card tomorrow that actually did double duty, again explanation to follow! Also don't fret, I haven't given up on my scrapbooking. We got some amazing heritage photos from Rob's family when we were up there last month and I can't wait to get started on those.
So my ending thought for this early hour
what's the difference between partly cloudy and partly sunny? HHHHmmmmmm...

Copic Creations - Challenge #3
So, lately I've been a coloring fiend. I've been using my Copics more than anything else, so much so that my other mediums are getting jealous!LOL
Here is my entry for the latest challenge on the Copic Creations Blog, Purple Flowers/Lilacs! I can't believe how much I'm enjoying coloring in using my markers, it's cathartic in a way. I can easily tune out all the stresses around me and focus on creating color and vibrancy in my images.
The thought for today...
How is it that we put man on the moon before we thought to put wheels on luggage? HHHmmm...
