Fun with Cards

Good morning I hope that you all had a great long weekend and managed to sneak some crafty time in. This month I have done 4 bright and colourful cards for you. I've used some of my favourite mediums: jelly plates, alcohol inks, paints, stencils and texture paste. I've also used on of my favourite techniques, colouring, using both copics and water colours.

The first 2 cards I have used alcohol ink, stencils and the jelly plate to create the bright background. The chipboard has been coloured using Crayola Signature Pearlescent Cream Sticks, I have even used part of the frame from the CB1162 Assorted Words 08 pack. The images have been coloured using copic markers.

This next card, I've again used my jelly plate with alcohol ink, and this time I've also added some texture paste. The flower is coloured using water colour pens. The CB1202 Roses 02 chipboard is coloured using the Crayola Signature Pearlescent Cream Sticks, and the "Best Wishes" is simply inked with white ink.

The last card I've used Scrapmatts stencil STL2001 A4 Medium Blocks Stencil combined with Distress Oxides to create the background. The image is coloured using copic markers. The chipboard is all simply coloured using ink squares.

April Creations

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my April post. Its so hard to believe that we are already at the end of April! Hope everyone had a lovely Easter with friends and family.

Again I have two layouts for you. Both are of my daughter and her boyfriend - they do love a good costume party.

I had lots of fun creating these layouts at a recent scrapbooking weekend.

CUTIES

Well hello again my lovelies.

I am back for this month with a couple of layouts showcasing not only some great Scrapmatts products but also a couple of pics of some friends cute kids, used with their permission.

First up we have this exquisite pic of Elowyn, how gorgeous is she.

For this page I added some extra detail by using the small flower stencil with the same pink ink that I used around the edge of the page. Also used some gorgeous flower chipboard which I inked in a few colours to help give some depth, then bling and beautiful lace helped to finish it off.

The corrugated cardboard is also from Scapmatts.

Next up is a page with the cutest pic of a friends little boy and their new puppy, I love the way they are looking at each other it is so beautiful to see.

I have again inked through a stencil to add some more detail to the background, I tend to ink through most of my stencils as I find I like the definition and detail that I can achieve. With the wire mesh chipboard I cut it on the diagonal and placed it top and bottom, this added some interest and also gave balance.

Lots of chippie words and a lovely title plus some nice little metal and chippie cogs.
