A different sort of challenge at Bizzy Becs this month was to create a card with the theme of "Grunge".
I thought that'd be a bit of fun, so this is what I came up with.
I used metal foil on on side and embossed it with two different Tim Holtz embossing folders, and added some alcohol inks.
On the other side I used Distress embossing powder, black UTEE, and Opals, and also some Perfect Pearls.
I coloured the tag with Ranger Distress Inks, & Glimmer Mist, distressed and inked the edges, and stamped it.

A blog award and some cards
I received a blog award from Teressa Thompson from Green Isles Crafts. Thanks Teressa, You made my day! When you get an award like this, there are certain responsibilities that go along with it. I need to thank the person who gave it to me with a link to their blog, post the award, share three things about myself (or things I like to do) and then pass it along to five more people.
So....three random things about me...spiders freak me out(but snakes don't worry me), I can ride motor bikes, and I used to ride racehorses as an amatuer jockey.
Now the hard part, because there are so many cool blogs out there. I'm passing this award on to:
Liz Gregory at Artfull Crafts
Hels Sheridan at pinkleart.blogspot.com
Jane Tregenza at janetregenza.blogspot.com
Mindy at Stampin Mindy
Julia at vintagewithlaces.blogspot.com
And now onto some cards I made (don't know if I'll be sending these, I just love them!)

We have a winner, and some cards to share.
I like to thank all of you who visited my blog over the weekend and left such wonderful comments. Each and every one of you made my day! I used Random Org to generate a winner out of these fabulous people, and it was comment #50 by.........Daffy who said "cool layout, I am a follower now, thanks for a chance to win, Carolyn H" Congrats, I hope you enjoy your parcel of goodies.
And now for some cards, sneek peaks, and layouts!
We're having a Christmas Countdown at Artfull Crafts, with lots of ideas from all the talented design team ladies. This week featured Christmas card ideas. Here's what I came up with using Graphic 45's Christmas range.
I made my rosette by punching a 12 strip of paper, then folding it all the way along. I joined the ends and then coaxed it into the rosette shape by pushing the punched edge outwards, and gluing to secure.
I'll be posting some more cards tomorrow......"Girly" Christmas ones this time!
Here's my version of a layout from a class by held Jenny Sutherland at Printblocks. I expanded slightly on her version, and added Smooch inks & metallic rubs to give a shimmer to the watches. I added Dimensional Magic to some elements, and Crackle Accents to the watchfaces..
And as promised a sneak peak of some of my upcoming classes at Greenbank Scrapbook Shop in November.

Blog Candy & Paper Secrets Blog Hop
Welcome to your 18th stop on the Paper Secrets Spooky Blog Haunt.
I made this layout to share with you today.
My daughter dances to the song "Horror Movies" so I had to make it a little spooky!
I included an interactive element so I could feature 8 photos, whilst still having plenty of room for embellishments. I embossed and inked some acetate, and used this to mat the booklet.
I wove some tulle under my hand-stitched "cobweb".
I used a combination of UTEE and Distress embossing powder on my spider (by A2Z Scraplets)
If you are or become a follower of my blog & leave your comment, you will also be entered to win this prize from me! (....and since I live in Australia, I will post internationally)
Your next stop will be Pamela's blog.
Remember to leave a comment on all 31 blog posts for your chance to win 1 of the 3 treats Paper Secrets is giving away.
In case you get lost, you can find a complete blog list here...
