A Peek at Christmas

In order to host a baby shower last weekend, Grama JoJo is all decorated for Christmas. And boy did Craig love the lights and trees and music. It is going to be such a fun year for us. He especially loved the tractor ornaments...what else would you expect from the little farm boy?

Baby Reese

Last weekend, we hosted a baby shower for Reese. Craig and Logan loved her. Craig would tickle her and say, "cute". It was precious.

Bath Time

Craig absolutely loves bath time...he loves to splash and swim and practice his ABC's. His poor skin is getting really dry in this change of weather, though. So, part of his bath routine, is a heavy application of "lotion".

there was a telephone,
and a red balloon,

Giving Thanks

Craig gives us so much to be thankful for every day. He had a great time on Thanksgiving. He loved all of his relatives. Thanks to Papa and Uncle Kent who took several trips outside to see the moon! We give thanks to Kristin for the fun Thanksgiving games, to Pam and Gene for hosting a wonderful event, and to everyone else who made it such a great day.
David showed Craig just what to do with the olives!
Great Pop and Craig were playing a tickle game! And Cousin Kurt let Craig wear his "Lutes" football helmet....looks good, don't you think???

Papa's Happy, Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to Papa!
Craig has had so many fun birthday parties recently. He's going to know just what to do when it is his turn!! He sings, "Happy, Happy...." and then a few seconds later, "Birday"...so precious. We had worked on saying "ninety" for Pop's birthday the night before. So, when we got to my Dad's house, I asked Craig how old Papa was...without missing a beat, Craig said, "Niney". I think Craig is going to get a counting lesson this week from Papa.
Craig was "so excited" to give Papa's present to him...a tractor". He just kept looking at it, saying, "Woah. Wow. Cool".
And then, Craig and Uncle Bryan had some story time...a Hippo book...what else?

Happy 90th Birthday, Pop!

90 years old...what a reason to celebrate. The entire family was together for a great birthday party for Pop...what fun to see everyone on such a momentous, exciting occasion! Craig is (so far) the only great-grandchild...here he is with the guest of honor..Pop! Pop and his "kids"
Craig was "reading" the words to Jane's special rendition of "Happy Birthday"...

Autumn Leaves

This weekend, Amy and I took the boys to a park to take pictures of them in the fall leaves. Last year, they sat. This year, we are blessed to have two healthy, happy, busy boys...who can't sit still for silly pictures that their Moms want for scrapbooking. It was fun and funny to watch our "lil' turkeys"!

JD boys

Craig and Logan were playing together on Friday...and found two "tractor" hats! We had to have a picture of the boys and their hats.

You say, "Tomato"...Craig says, "Yum Yum"

Before... During...
After...
"What, Mom?...You want me to eat veggies, don't ya?"

Trick or Treat...Happy Halloween!!

Here he is...Craig the Giraffe! He loved getting in his costume and hitting the streets for candy. Every time, we'd say, "Trick or Treat", he'd respond with, "Cha-cha" (his word for chocolate). Lucky him, our friends and family were on the same page. He loaded up on candy, books, cars, crackers, and a cute Halloween cup. Thank you, everyone!
We spent the first hour with Logan and Amy. We went to see Grama JoJo and Papa, Great Grama and Grampa, Elsie and Jack, and Margie and Marvin. Then, Craig and I headed north. We picked up Daddy and trick-or-treated to Nana and Papa, Great Pop, Kent and Gretchen, and Pam and Gene. Craig was especially excited to see Katie and Cooper!

Pumpkin Carving

I never realized that "Pumpkin Carving Night" could go down in the history books as one of my favorites. As I watched Craig study every move Daddy was making, I was filled with wonder. Craig watched as Daddy carved, scooped, and
as Mommy designed the face. Craig talked me through what shapes to use for the eyes, nose, and mouth. He liked watching me as I drew rectangles, circles, and triangles.
Craig couldn't get close enough!
We went outside to see the pumpkins in all of their glory.
What cute Jack-o-Lanterns!
