Sundance
We took a ride on the Sundance Ski Lift to see Fall at its fullest. And I must say, we have lived MANY places and Utah is pretty hard to beat in the beauty department. So come for a visit friends! We would love to have you!

Alpine Loop
We were staying up at my cabin one weekend in October and thought we would take the extra long way home. This is why:

Weekends at the Cabin
Since we have gotten here we have tried to stay as many weekends at the cabin as we can. Let's just say craziness ensues. This particular time we made dance videos. Since Blogger takes ages to upload videos I only had the patience to upload two. But enjoy as it shows off Madison's intense and serious personality next to her brothers goofy one.
And this one we will use against Carson in the upcoming years. Blackmail for any misbehavior during the teenage years and possibly the college years and definitely showing any and all girlfriends.

Battlecreek
This post is a little late in coming but as always I am way behind in my blogging. Since I turn my blog into a book for our family every year, I was having this feeling that our year 2011 was looking pretty meager and pathetic even though this has been one of our busiest years to date.
Every Saturday since we have moved to Utah we have tried to do something fun. The first weekend we went to the city fair, which was awesome! But not awesome enough to take pictures, so nothing to document there. But one of the fantastic saturdays in September we decided to hike Battlecreek to the falls and this hike is seriously a mile away from our front door. So up we went. I learned later that it was named from the first battle that took place between the Ute Indians and the Mormon settlers.
Here are some fun pictures from our 1.5 mile hike up the mountains!
(This is where Emma spent the majority of the hike, daddy's and occasionally mom's shoulders)

(Yay! We made it!)

(Once we got to the falls we couldn't keep Emma out of the water no matter how cold it was)

(Sav was the brave soul that went into the river to get under the falls)

(Kind of a crazy color shot of the kids but this is the bear cave along the route)
(And a terrible picture of me but a very cute one of Rylie so I had to post...the sacrifices a mom makes on behalf her kids)

Friends Forever
BFF, whenever I think of this phrase or even say it for that matter, I do so with a mock in my voice. To me it signifies juvenial and immaturity.
That is until I came upon this photo:Seriously, this photo, although it makes me laugh because we are all geeks, it also makes my heart hurt. The first words that come to my mind are, "BFF." And I miss them.
All the places we have lived and all the moves we have made I have made BFF's. I hope you know who you are. I miss them all the time and find myself full of gratitude for the permanent place that hold within my heart. Although I may sound like a middle schooler when I say it, I mean it, I love all my BFF's!
