Our sweet puppy Noodle left us tonight. He has been sick for about a week and when we took him to the vet on Thursday, they found that he had a genetic disease called Addison's. It affects the adrenal glands, and had caused complications leading to kidney failure and bleeding ulcers. Scott brought him home from the vet Thursday night and we had a fun weekend with him even though he was sleeping most of the time. Tonight he started acting very crazy and wouldn't let us near him, we decided it was time to let him go. The kids are all very upset but handling it well. We sat around and shared our favorite Noodle moments and laughed at that crazy dog. We've had a great 2 years with him and feel lucky to have had him; even if it was only for a short time. It's going to feel lonely around here, he had quite a large presence. We'll miss you Noodle!

Hanna's Birthday
Hanna is such a sweet girl. She never asks for anything and even when I ask what she wants for her birthday she hesitates and is just happy with anything. This year after much prodding she finally said that she's really been wanting a dress coat. So I got her one on black Friday. But after she got home from school today we ran to Costco and she saw this coat. I could tell immediately that she was in love. She was so excited and she kept wearing it around the store telling us to feel how soft the pockets are and how warm it is. She is now deciding if she wants to keep the dress coat I got her and unwrap it again as a Christmas gift, or have me take it back. Carter feel off the top of a tredmill and landed on a chair with his mouth. His bottom teeth pushed about half way through his lower lip. He was very "big and brave" for how bad of a sore this made. The pictures don't really do it justice and I didn't even want to post a picture of the inside. The Saturday before Thanksgiving Sara and I ran the "turkey trot". It is a relay race that is won by estimating your time rather than running the fastest. We said that we would run our 2-miles in 24 minutes because I wasn't sure that Sara would run the whole thing. We ended up running it in 23:48 so we were really close to our time but, the winners were only off by 1 second. It was a great accomplishment for Sara to finish her first race and run 2 whole miles! There was also a race in our neighborhood but they only ran 1 mile. Hanna did that one and ran it in 8:04. She's much faster than her mom! We love the huge willow tree in our backyard so so so so much! BUT.... this time of year I HATE it! It is so messy!!!! Allie came in the other day with leaves all over and said she was the leaf monster.

Sara's Hair
Sara planned to donate her hair, but then she decided that she loves it long. Yesterday when Hanna got her hair cut Sara kept saying, "no, I'm not cutting mine!" But then this morning she realized that she could donate 10 inches and her hair would still be somewhat long. So, I called and asked them to get her in as soon as possible so she wouldn't change her mind. It's so cute! I'm so proud of my girls. They were both very excited to give their hair to someone in need.

Hanna's Hair
Hanna has been growing out her hair for over a year and she decided that today was the day to donate it. They cut 10 inches off and sent it to "locks of love" to make wigs for kids with cancer. She looks adorable! In other news... Katie came to see us so we are in party mode. Last night she was telling the kids a story and they were all so enraptured.

Halloween Costumes
Hanna the football field - the "smurf turf" as we call it. Allie a nice witch Carter - Darth Vader And Sara - Athena Goddess of Wisdom and Battle Strategies (yes you have to say all of that everytime someone asks) We don't have pictures of Scott and me yet. But of course we are dressed up. He's Billy Ray Cyrus and I'm his daughter Miley.

It was the 10th anniversary of our elementary school last Friday so to celebrate they had a sock hop. The girls were all excited to dress up so of course that meant I had to make 3 poodle skirts. They had a lot of fun choosing their animals and "embellishing" the skirts and of course they looked adorable. Carter wore his pants rolled up and a whtie t-shirt and looked great but didn't want his picture taken. I really had a hard time getting a good shot of the girls too. The Prisbrey family had a pumkin growing contest this summer and we are pretty sure that we won! Our biggest pumpkin measured 60 inches around!!! We went to a corn maze last week for family night and had so much fun. These are the only pictures I got which is sad because we also shot a corn cannon and watched some pig races. Sara got to represent a pig named "Lindsey Slowham" and her pig won the race. We were all so excited!

Crafting
My friends here are very crafty. I don't consider myself as being crafty but I've learned some tricks from them. I made some aprons (thanks to my mom teaching me how to sew even though I didn't really want to learn as a child). I crocheted some hats (thanks to my college roommate teaching me how). And I made some gifts for my next door neighbor because he watches our dog when we are out of town. He is a big BSU fan so the kids helped me made some decorations for his house to help liven up his football parties.
First Day of School
These pictures are all out of order. This is Carter getting ready for church one morning. He couldn't get the button undone when pulling it off the hanger so he just put it on anyway. He came walking through the room and we were all laughing. I love the logic of 5 year olds. Carter was all excited for school and ready to go, then we got to the bus stop and everything changed. He was pretty unsure for a minute but he got on the bus like a brave big boy. He loves school now and prefers riding the bus. Gotta show off the new back-packs! So excited to start school.
Family Campout
We had so much fun this summer in Utah. We went camping with my whole family and the kids had a great time. One highlight was a pinata, and of course it became hats for everyone after the candy was out. Carter wore his as a hat then he started working on it with a knife and it became a megaphone, then a vest. I was so impressed with his ingenuity. This is Allie showing her hat. "Beauty and the Beast" at least thats what uncle Wayne said this picture was as we were taking it. Spelunking at mammoth caves. The kids went through the different caves several times and would have stayed longer if I would have let them. They must get that from their dad because I don't like enclosed places. Our cute cousins The whole crew (or at least most of them). My niece and sister-in-law made us all matching shirts
