N I N E months

Nine months young! Time seems to be flying by. Lolli has developed quite the little personality. She knows what she wants and doesn't want and makes it known. She is taking a few steps by herself and LOVES practicing.

Lolli loves:

+feeding herself/finger foods
+crawling up the stairs
+grabbing ornaments off the tree
+staring at the christmas lights
+watching Cash run a muck
+being worn
+going on walks
+the snow
+playing with dad
+being tickled
+babbling
+putting one foot up on her tray when she's eating in her high chair
+ritz crackers, buys me some quiet in the car...but also leaves a mess. WORTH IT

Lolli hates:

+cuddling, she pushes us away and wants to be held outward. ALWAYS
+being strapped in her high chair

+Cash petting her hair, which he does ALL the time ha
+getting her nails cut

Firsts: 

+snow fall
+says 'mama' 'dada'
+seeing christmas lights
+pigtails!
+parade, Cash's first parade too
+seeing Santa Claus
+cookie, compliments of brother

Mom loves:

+your soft little body
+watching you sleep on the baby monitor
+getting you after your naps, you are nice and warm and happy
+your straight up ponies

Facts about you:

+STILL no teeth. C'non. At this rate she will be walking before she gets a tooth
+you love teasing
+you are a wiggly worm and rarely sit still
+you refuse to sleep anywhere besides your bed
+I have to cut your nails twice a week
+your hair is fluffy and long
+you are the messiest eater, like really.

E I G H T months

I probably say this every month, but I can't believe she's eight months now. Probably because she is so petite, even with her standing, crawling everywhere, and on the verge of walking she does not seem 8 months to me. I also only have the comparison of her brother at her age, he was a tank. Lolli is in size 9 month clothes and is in size two diapers. Lolli is seriously the happiest baby and she brings so much love and happiness to our family.

Lolli loves:

+getting into anything and everything she is not supposed to. Cords, remotes, phones. You name it.
+standing, we have learned she loves doing all things standing...bathing, eating, playing.
+her brother, Cash can make Lolli laugh like no one else
+grabbing Cash's binky out of his mouth
+rubbing her face on soft surfaces
+being carried and worn outward
+going on walks
+being outside, even in the cold
+fruits and veggies, not a fan of meat purees
+kisses
+apples and avocados
+music
+minnie mouse

Lolli hates:

+not getting her way. Seriously, she knows how to throw a fit
+being left alone in a room
+her carseat
+being in the stroller too long, she prefers being worn

Firsts: 

+standing alone
+first time eating avocados
+tried a sucker, now multiple times. Cash loves sharing

Mom loves:

+your little love handles
+your scrunchy nose
+when you rub your eyes when you are ready for your naps
+when you jump up and down in your crib when you wake up
+how you always crawl to me, because I'm your favorite :)

Facts about you:

+STILL no teeth. C'mon
+you have a tiny mole on your bum that mom and dad always try and wipe off thinking it's poo. HAHA
+you get extra giggly when you are tired
+you only want mom when sleep is involved 

S E V E N months

I can't believe Lolli is 7 months already, I think mostly because she is a petite baby girl. She's petite but she is so strong. She is already pulling herself up on everything, we are going to be lowering her mattress crib soon. She is such an active little girl and I think it's because she sees her brother running circles around her! 

Lolli loves:

+puffs, it took her a couple of days to figure out how to mash them in her mouth, but now she loves them!

+mickey mouse

+playing in Cash's room (the designated toy room)

+pulling herself up and standing

+crawling

+our bathroom rug

+doorstops

+going on walks being faced outward

+funny noises

+singing

+grabbing hair

+pinching faces...OUCH

Lolli hates:

+being in her bumbo, she tries to get out

+when we take things from her that she shouldn't have

Firsts: 

+crawling

+standing up

+pulling herself up

+pumpkin patch

Mom loves:

+your huge smile

+kissing your chubby cheeks super hard

+your stick straight up pony tail

+getting you when you wake up, you are stand/sitting and happy

+cuddling you before you sleep

Facts about you:

+you are still up once to eat at night, mom has been super easy on you. 

+your nails are razors, even though I cut them every week!

+you are only satisfied if you are on the move or standing, I think you will be an early walker

+still no teeth

S I X months

Lolli is in size 2 diapers and wearing 6 month clothing. We have her checkup next month so we will find out her stats then. She has been flemmy and super droopy lately so I think she is going to get her first tooth pretty soon! Lolli is an easy going happy baby and brings so much happiness to our family!

Lolli loves:

+looking upside down, she thinks it's so funny

+being worn outwards

+pears, apples, and sweet potatoes

+being tickled with her clothes off

+her brother, she adores Cash. She giggles and smiles whenever he gives her attention

+watching her brother be crazy, which is all day

+anything she can chew/suck on

+jumper

+rolling around

+shopping, she loves looking around

Lolli hates:

+sitting still for too long

+being in the car for too long

+getting her face cleaned

Firsts: 

+trying watermelon

+getting up on her hands and knees and rocking

Mom loves:

+your little ponytail that sticks straight up

+your chubby thighs

+seeing you discover yourself in the mirror

Facts about you:

+you are very wiggley, you love to be upside down, sitting up, rolling around

+you need to be buckled in anywhere I set you (bumbo, mamaroo, bouner) otherwise you would wiggle yourself out!

+you'll only sleep for about 40 min at church

+you're a rolly polly, if I leave the room and come back you are usually a couple feet away from your blanket

+you are a messy eater! You shove your hands and feet in your mouth after spoonfuls

+you are still waking up 1-2 times a night to eat

F I V E months

Lolli is in size 2 diapers and wearing 3-6 month clothing. She had her 4 month check up a couple weeks ago and is only 10th percentile for weight but 75th for height, so long and lean. 

Lolli loves:

+being outside

+belly time

+eating solids

+standing with help

+being sung to

+reading books 

+getting lotion on

+night time bath 

+watching baby Einstein 

+getting her gums brushed 

+grabbing things 

+looking at herself in the mirror

+being held outwards 

+rolling

+playing peek-a-boo

+blowing bubbles

+chewing on things, especially fingers (Cash has learned this)

+watching water drop out of the cup when taking a bath

Lolli hates:

+the car

+being left in a room 
+sleeping on her back

Firsts: 

+toes painted

+ponytail

+first time flying 

+first time tk Utah and seeing cousins 

+eating solid food we started with sweet potatoes and have tried peaches, bananas, and pears

Mom loves:

+your gummy smile

+your long lashes
+when you smile at yourself in the mirror

Facts about you:

+only mom can put you to sleep

+started sleep training

+petite but strong

+you scrunch your nose and stick your tongue out when you smile 

+mom calls you lala or lollipop, dad calls you kinners, and Cash calls you "yayi" 

F O U R months

Lolli is in size 1 diapers still, I've been squeezing her in...I need to switch to size 2! She's wearing 3-6 month clothing. She is very petite, she's a lot littler than her brother was at this age. She has her 4 month checkup in a couple weeks but she weighs about 12 lbs. 10 oz.

Lolli loves:

+holding her hands together, like she's reverent 

+smiling, she smiles at anything that smiles at her
+being talked to
+being tickled
+grabbing toys
+colorful objects
+playing on the ground
+being worn, however I have to force her to rest her head on me
+sucking on her fingers
+being outside
+the vacuum noise
+her hands being covered when she sleeps
+baths
+fuzzy blankets
+being kissed
+rubbing her feet together
+'talking' a lot more

Lolli hates:

+Cash screaming, which he learned to do from a girl in nursery :/
+bouncer, she tries to to sit up, literally does a sit-up
+being left alone for too long

Firsts: 

+going to mimi and papa's house
+road trip to Prosser, 4hr drive

+first swim 

Mom loves:

+your puffy cheeks
+your soft hands
+when you hold/hug soft toys
+your sweet cooing 

Facts about you:

+seeing four month regression, I'm seeing some sleep training in the near future
+you are very aware when Cash is next to you
+you know when the person holding you is sitting rather than standing
+you prefer mom over anyone
+you like to practice rolling over at night time
+you only cry when you're hungry and now only half the time when Cash hits you 

+your hair keeps getting fluffier. I need to try a pony 

Cash Update

Having a new baby around has made me realize how BIG Cash has gotten. I wish I could bottle him up and keep him little forever. He is the most sweetest messiest funniest impatient stubborn happy boy. '18 month check up' which was really at 20 months Cash weighed 29 lbs 4 oz and 2' 10.2" both in the 80th percentile. I've been wanting to write an update on Cash because he's growing so fast and I don't want to forget all the little things.

So here we go, here are a few things about Cash:

We took his binky away during the day so he's really started to talk a lot more lately. 

His favorite things to say are "one more" he says this with almost everything!

He likes to do naughty things on purpose and then plays them off like an accident by saying "uh-oh." 

He loves saying "Mimi Papa" he loves both sets of grandparents a whole lot! 

He has to have a kiss right away when he gets hurt. Kisses cure most ouchies.

He's a thick boy and is already in 3T

He's super strong and hard to contain 

Right after bath he HAS to lay flat in the pillows with his blanket over him before getting dressed

He says goodbye too dada every morning with a big hug and kiss and then right when Scott's leaving out the door Cash has to have one more kiss and hug. Double the love, every time.

Starting to put words together and saying sentences 

He usually is shirtless or shortless

Has to be watching something while he eats in his high chair

Says "blue" for any color 

Loves lining up his bath animals on the ledge and naming them, the octopus "pus" always has to be set on the corner of the tub.

He hops just as much as he walks

He loves chasing bubbles 

He yells "ball" every time he sees one

When he goes down for naps or bedtime he always looks up at Scott or I while we are rocking him and holds up his little finger and says "one more" for another song as soon as we are done singing

He likes to delay going to sleep as long as possible

He's obsessed with juice, ice, and fruit snacks

He's sooo wild and is constantly moving 

He is really tough he falls and bumps into things all the time without crying

He's OCD with his blankets and has to have them completely flat

He loves hard- hugs that knock you over and kisses that leave slobber all over you face

His favorite thing to play with are his little plastic animals. He enjoys standing them all up on his little green stool

He HATES having his teeth brushed which makes mom and dad hate brushing them

He's obsessed with water, jumping on it, dumping it, running through it. Anything that includes water

He loves to 'help' with whatever mom and dad are doing

Curious George. Obsessed is an understatement. If we put anything else on he immediately says "George" 

Speaking of George, his "George" and "juice" sound the same 

He gets super excited when dad comes home from school he sprints to the door and then runs around screaming with excitement when he walks in 

Cash is a mess maker, he loves pulling everything out with no intention of actually playing with it 

He is the messiest eater, he likes dipping his hands in ketchup and licking it off.

His favorite animals are rhino, monkey, and alligator 

He treats his bed like a trampoline 

He always wants me to whatever I'm doing to Lolli to him. If she's getting her picture taken, he needs his picture taken. When I'm kissing her belly, he needs his belly kissed.

He likes pretending to be a lizard with his tongue

He loves reading books 

He is always touching his hair, it soothes him

He rarely goes a day in the same outfit 

His hair goes into a point in the front, just like his dad's 

He likes when Lolli sneezes 

He loves 'London Bridges' and 'Ring Around the Rosie'

He loves balloons and hot air balloons. Balloons and balls are his jam

He always yells "bus" or "truck" when he spots them driving

He tends to throw his toys, we are working on it
He likes to sit on the front window sill like a cat

He has to have his blankey and puppy when he sleeps

He loves playing peekaboo 

He's ticklish under his chin

He likes playing in his crib because that's where his binkies are 

He likes to spot the airplanes in the sky whenever we are outside 

When I take out the garbage in the morning Cash bolts out the door and runs around on the wet grass, I have to chase him down in my jammies 

He gets frustrated when he can't do something 

He's impatient like his dad ;) 

Since having Lolli he's become better with playing by himself 

He has the cutest smile when he's excited

We love him to pieces!

T H R E E months

Lolli is in size 1 diapers and in 3 month clothing. She's kinda in between being too big for 3 month and too small for 3-6 month. She's such a happy and smiley babe, but for some reason when I get a camera on her she goes serious haha. 

Lolli loves:

+baths

+her mama, she's a mamas girl which I like and dislike ha

+her activity mat

+being talked to

+having her hands covered when she sleeps

+nestling her head under my chin

+watching tv

+kisses from brother 

+being rocked

+holding my finger

+kicking her legs

+sticking her tongue out 

Lolli hates:

+starting to dislike being worn :( when I put her in the wrap she becomes stiff as a board and refuses to lay her head against me

+zippy, we tried it out this week because cash loved it but she likes her arms over her head when she sleeps

+being held cradled 

+being woken up by brother

+napping lately, my angel baby is starting to sleep horribly

Firsts: 

+laugh 

+going to church

Mom loves:

+your huge smile

+your double chin

+your open mouth when you sleep

+your leg rolls

+your soft skin

+your big bright eyes 

Facts about you:

+you get the hiccups whenever you laugh

+your hair is fluffy when you get out of the bath 

+you've been the best at church, sleeping on mom almost all three hours 

+you're starting to wake up several times a night and napping poorly...boo!!!

+you are super smiley

+your hands and feet are always super sweaty and clamy 

+you stick your tongue out when you smile 

+you have the longest eyelashes, I'm jealous

Lolli's blessing day

5-15-16

Our sweet Lolli Nicole was blessed today. Lolli was able to wear the same blessing dress that I wore when I was blessed. It was a very special and sacred feeling getting Lolli dressed knowing that I had worn it and was blessed by my own dad when I was her age. 

Lolli was tired and cranky before we started getting her dressed, but as soon as we laid her down to dress her she immediately was calm and happy. She knew it was her blessing day. 

I'm so grateful for my husband who was able to give our daughter a beautiful blessing, I hope Lolli always remembers she's a daughter of God. She's such a special and precious girl. We love you Lolli girl!
