Our little family was lucky enough to fly to Utah this past Fourth of July to spend time with family. I was so excited when this trip was planned because two of my three sisters had never met Cash before, and he is already 9 months! Scott and I were pretty nervous about flying with Cash, especially because he is the biggest wiggle worm and always has to be moving. However, flying went surprisingly very smoothly! On the way there and back he fell asleep on the plane! This is a pretty big thing, I'm pretty sure he just passed out from pure exhaustion and lack of sleep beforehand. But still, getting him to sleep on the flight was awesome. Before his airplane naps, Cash was very interested in looking out the window and attempting to pull the window shade up and down. He also would have loved to pull the people's hair in the seats in front of us if we would have let him ha!
We rented a big house to stay at for the weekend with plenty of rooms, but Scott and I still managed to end up on a blow up mattress downstairs. I don't know what it is, but we just cannot sleep in the same room as Cash. He just knows we are in the room and cries. The things we do for our kids. This trip was the first time Cash slept in his pack and play since he was 3 months old, the first night went great...it went downhill from there. Other than the lack of sleep, Cash had SO much fun playing with his cousins. His favorite thing was splashing in a little blow up pool my sister brought. He was having so much fun that I think we might have to end up buying Cash a little mini pool. We also enjoyed going to the Zoo and the Curiosity Museum. It was the perfect weekend to get together, we were able to attend my nephew Hutch's blessing, spend the Fourth of July together, bbq, and celebrate Kellen's Birthday. The house we stayed at was in Draper and overlooked the Valley, this made watching fireworks really cool! We could see fireworks in the distance going off in almost every neighborhood.
One thing I missed most about Utah, besides my sisters of course, are the amazing restaurants! First thing we had was Cafe Rio, my favorite. Scott and I even grabbed Cafe Rio at the airport on our way home just for good measure. I'm so glad my sisters were able to finally meet Cash and that we could hangout for a couple days. It's so sad we don't live closer than we do. I wish so badly Cash was able to see and play with his cousins more. On my side of the family Cash has 5 boy cousins all within 1 year! I know once he is older they will have the time of their life running around and playing together! Love my family, and am so excited for our next get together!
