5 Years documented...

 ...5 YEARS LATER...

Time definitely got away from me. I was hoping to be able to keep our family blog up and running, but my time management skills, or lack thereof, hasn't allowed that to happen.

As I end this blog for the foreseeable future, I just want to say how much I love my family. Scott is the best partner I could ask for and I love how much he loves and supports me in all that I do. I love how hard he works to take such great care of our family. I love his individuality, and I love so many more things, but I love that he is mine forever the most! I am so grateful that Heavenly Father blessed us with two BRILLIANT boys. The love that we have for both of them is unexplainable. We think about them and worry about them and pray about them all the time. Constantly. They are the lights of our lives and bring so much joy into our family. We cannot imagine life without them. I am SO SO grateful that I get to be with my family for all eternity. I don't know how I got so lucky, but I did...and I will work every day to not take it for granted.

4th of July Celebrations

We watched the Logan fireworks on July 1st up at Lundstrum Park across from Grandma Jana's house and had a great time together. It was fun that they were on Kaiser's birthday too! It's just one big celebration!
Kaiser hates how loud they are haha
We then went to the cruise in on July 2nd. Mine and Scott's Anniversary. This was pretty much how we celebrated our anniversary. Kind of lame but we decided that it was best to have a low-key since we are trying to catch up from moving expenses, and job changes, etc. I wish we would have taken more photos but I didn't. I did manage to get a couple of me and Kaiser in our awesome matching tie dye shirts that we made! We loved wearing them together!
After the cruise in we went up to Grandpa Perkes' house for some sparklers and fireworks fun!
On July 4th proper, instead of partaking in all of the festivities, that is when we began painting and ripping apart our house. Scott's family all came and helped with that while my mom took Kaiser to the Lewiston Parade with the cousins.
Not only do Kaiser and I have matching tie dye shirts, but so do our cousins! Weird 4th of July this year but so great. We are making progress and getting one step closer to move in!

Kaiser turnes THREE!

Kaiser turned THREE on July 1st. He had his 3-year-old check up with the doctor and here are his stats:

Weight: 32 lbs 5 oz -- 50th percentile
Height: 38 1/2 inches -- 60th percentile
Pulse: 113

We tried to do things that Kaiser loved so in the morning we went to the Bounce N Slide place in Logan with cousins. They had an absolute blast getting all their energy out!
Later that day, it was time for Kaiser to open his presents from Grandma and Grandpa Lehman. He was so excited for both of them but especially for the huge present haha!
We had to quickly go out and try out the water table. It was definitely a HIT!
Later that evening, we went over to Grandma Jana's house and got donuts for everyone! Kaiser was so happy to eat a donut and blow out his candle :)
We then had his birthday party on July 3rd when everyone could make it. We had it outside at Lundstrum Park. Kaiser asked for a "Spaceship Party" with a white cake. So Scott and I got creative and baked him an awesome spaceship cake. I am super proud of how it turned out!

We bought a condo!

We signed our lives away on June 30th 2016 and bought a condo in West Jordan. Small but affordable. We decided to buy in large part because it is finally time for us to own something, but also because in the SLC area, the cost of rent verses the cost of owning is not too different, in fact, it would have been more expensive to rent a 2-bedroom home. This way we were able to call something ours and do what we wanted with it! Instead of moving in right away, there was a bunch we needed to improve. So we quickly began working on changing it up. Ripped out all the carpet and put in tile, laminate flooring, and carpet. Redid the baseboards, and painted the walls... Basically we have a brand new home and we love it! It was so much work but we were so blessed to have so many family members be willing to help us!

During: Bethany, Kacee, and Scott ripped out the carpet and too out all of the staples and stuff that were left on the floor. And on July 4th, we held a painting party at our house. Not our ideal way to spend the 4th of July, but we were together as family, and that is all that matters...My family was nice enough to keep Kaiser and take him to the festivities.
Scott and Chuck put in the tile flooring. So much work but so pretty!
The outside of our home. We have the upper level. The balcony is ours and the garage to the left is our 1-car garage.
