Newport Beach family vacation

My dad continued the Newport beach tradition. This vacation is always highly anticipated all summer. We had so much fun the week flew by. This year was extra special now that half of my siblings live out of state. It has become the one time a year we get the entire family together. Nick and Tiff were able to drive down with their family. Their cute boys make the trip. They have so much energy and love playing on the beach. Calli and Dan flew out from Florida a week early. They are both bursting with fun and are such cute little newlyweds. They were also kind enough to help us tear out our carpet. Dan adds the word cute before all of the girl's names. I'm cute Cass. I'm sad thinking about them leaving this next week.

Our fancy beach house
Our first stop was to Seaside Donuts. We made a daily visit. Donuts back home just are not the same. Donut holes, blueberry, maple bars, creme filled ... all scrumptious.

There is nothing better than waking up to this view. I love taking morning walks on the board walk. Scott was dedicated and ran his first 15 mile run while at Newport.

My handsome husband
Ben and Scott are great hole diggers.

Thomas and James trying to figure out how to climb out of the hole.
It is always fun to get buried afterwards.

Cute Tiff and William

William is the best baby! We are keeping our fingers crossed our baby will be as mild tempered as William. He is such a happy boy and easy to have around. He'll be a year apart from our baby girl.

I loved playing on the beach and chasing the waves with Philip.

We spent a day at knottsberry farm's water park. Our favorite ride was the funnel.

Orange County Fair
We went to the fair to visit Uncle Jeff. He sells vitamixers at a booth. He made us a delicious green drink, ice cream, tortilla soup, and a brownie.

Home Owners

On July 27, 2011 we closed on our first home! We are excited about the area and being able to still live close to our families. Before we officially had the keys to our home we picked out a paint color and lined up a painter to come while we were in Newport. It began with wanting to paint the bedrooms, but we ended up carrying it through to the living room and dining room. We also met with my dad's carpet guy to choose carpet. It was so fun picking out the color. The sellers had put new brown carpet in the hallway and left the grey in the bedrooms. We thought it would make a big difference having the carpet color match. The day we officially got the keys to the home we went to work tearing out the carpet, vacuuming the floor, and meticulously pulling out every last staple. We appreciate all the help from our family. We love our new house!
