Today

This morning we got up early and headed along the river to Sandy Beach.  Kendra stayed home to sleep off her breakfast.
The kookaburras were watching the river.  We hope they were looking for snakes to eat.
We hadn't been along this track for months.
It was Roxy's first time.
There weren't many people about, so we got to run free.
Then we got to the beach.
 I went for a paddle.
The water was very still.  Then we ran around.

Roxy attacked Bella and I when we left the water.
Finally, she got wet as well.
 Bella started another hole.
Naturally, it was bath time when we arrived home.  But we expect that, so we just sit and wait for our turns.
Shortly after our baths it started to rain....and I mean rain.  It poured down, lasting most of the day.  We were lucky to fit in a walk this morning.  Hope you had a good weekend.

The Good and the Bad

Thanks for all the positive vibes and wishes for Kendra.  She got up yesterday morning polished off her dinner from Thursday night, and spent the day snoozing at her guard post, ensuring no intruders walked past the house, and ate all her dinner.

Last night wasn't too bad.  She asked to go out at 3 a.m.--this seems to be a pattern--to get a drink.  (The water inside has tap water and outside is rain water.  She prefers the rain water.)  She spent the rest of the night outside, but was up this morning going out to her guard post.  She ate her heart worm tablet, spat out the pain tablet.  Had to have it poked it down her throat, but happily accepted ham as a treat.  And has had a walk around the garden.
Kendra, this morning (Saturday)
She is looking unkempt because she has been exempt from the grooming sessions.

Now for the bad.......

Look what we got!!!!
RUN AWAY!!!!!

A Bad Night

Kendra, who is now working from home
Kendra had a bad night, crying to go outside several times in the wee hours of the morning.  Then seemingly confused when put outside.  She wasn't interested in breakfast, had to have her pain medicine pushed down her throat as there was no interest in either a cheese or chicken wrapping.

She showed interested when put in the front window where she could watch things happening in the street and went outside by herself later.  At three o'clock, she rallied to loudly tell off a delivery man who tried to deliver a parcel.  She ate a bit of dinner, is drinking water and toddling around.  So we keep on keeping on living in the moment.

Summer???

Daisy
Hi Everyone.....it's summer in Australia.  But someone forgot to tell the weather.  We're having winter weather or maybe Aberdeen summer weather.  Whatever, it has been cool.  Actually, we dogs aren't complaining.  We love the cooler weather; but SHE complains when she has to rug-up to take us on walks. SHE complains a lot.

It's supposed to rain today....again.  We got an extra long walk this morning.  We have lots of different walks around the 'hood and this morning we combined three of them.  We went to the sports fields, through the little Reserve, a few blocks down the street and to Red Hill Reserve!  Then to celebrate we had wild zoomies through the house and around the garden when we got home.  It was great.

Even Kendra had a little walk.  She went about 5 feet outside the gate and came back.  She gets  puffed when she walks....we think the tumour is pressing on her lungs.  She's happy, though...eating, pottering around and still barking at people.  Even cheeky enough to eat her cheese and drop the tablet on the floor.

I wonder if we'll have a white Christmas..........

Today's walk...or rather run

Roxy, Daisy   and  Bella

Here we are, waiting for Kendra to finish with her little walk around the front garden.  She's very slow.
When she's had her walk, we head to the sports field for a run.
Roxy and I, Daisy are showing you how big it is.  And this is just half of it! Bella is still by the fence trying to find the cat.
This is where we do most of our bird chasing!
Bella and Roxy zooming
It's where we can run around and chase each other.
(That green carpet strip is a cricket pitch.)
This is one of our favourite places.
(Roxy's two-week confinement lasted for three walks.)
