We camped at a group site not far more this
beautiful overlook of Flaming Gorge area
by the dam.

So of us took the "Dam Tour", which takes you inside and down to the
bottom...over 500 ft.

Once everyone arrived, there were nearly 40 people!

This was a saw mill, powered by the front half of an 1917 Hudson truck (below).
They ran a belt between the engine and blade, which turned the blade and cut timber.
Very beautiful country...but it must have been a hard life over 100 years ago!
