Last Saturday was the start of my vacation. Yay!!! It was my day to sleep in. 
That evening Schy and I went to see Captain America with my family for my brother-in-law’s b-day. Loved it! And I always love it when I can go out with Schy! Then we went back to pick up the kids to go to my sister’s house for fireworks. The kids had so much fun. (after Kiah stopped freaking out, Schy made sure she didn’t go in the car to watch them) Lots of fun!
Last Friday night I took the kids to the park and had a picnic. We found a nice park by the river in South Jordan.We had fun eating, playing, and went for a walk along the river. It’s so fun to make everything an adventure. We always see potato bugs and snails in our yard, but they are somehow more interesting on a nature walk.
Micah got up really close to this dragonfly. He’s examining it very closely.
Before the picnic we painted with ice cubes. It was really fun, but it was so hot that they didn’t last long.
One Saturday in June, we had a busy day! In the morning we went to Bouncin Off the Walls. It was free for two hours. I am the queen of finding free stuff to do.
We were the first ones there, so we had a good 15 minutes with the place to ourselves. The kids loved it! They both say it was their favorite thing we’ve done this summer. The big slide was their favorite. Micah has decided he’s asking Santa for it. He’s pretty convinced he’ll get it if he asks. Hmmm.
Then in the afternoon made marshmallow poppers. (cups that have the bottom cut off and a balloon on the end) Pretty fun! Have a snack while you play too!
That night we went to Pete and Amanda’s to watch the Cedar Hills fireworks. The kids LOVE being with their cousins. I’m so happy we get to see everyone often.

We went to wheeler farm. It was a lot of fun to walk around and see all the animals. There’s no admission so you can just walk around the grounds. We were there pretty late so the indoor areas weren’t open.
The Salt Lake Astronomical Society was having a star party there. We has to wait until it got dark. They had telescopes set up for us to come and look at. It was really neat! The kids loved it. We got some awesome views of Saturn. This is what it looked like:
I didn’t get any actual pictures at the star party. (They wouldn’t be too happy about flashes of light.) We really loved it. We’ll have to go again sometime.
I’ve now let half the year pass by without a post. We’ve been very busy the last six months. I’ll just get updated with some pictures.
Kiah and Micah made a swing on the stairs. They always make me laugh. Always coming up with ideas. They took a few turns, but we didn’t leave it up. (I don’t know how long the railing can hold them.)
Kiah has become very good at handstand flips. She has no fear and it scares me sometimes.
Okay, this makes me laugh! She made bunny ears and taped them to her forehead. She is so my daughter!
We were playing hide-and-go-seek. This is where I found them. They were in a cabinet Schy’s mom had cleaned out. Nice and comfy.
We have been having a fun summer. I made a decision at the beginning of summer that we would do as much fun stuff as possible. I am so tired when I get home from work that it is hard to have the energy to play. I want to be the happy energetic me that I am at the beginning of the day. I don’t want the kids to always have the cranky tired me. So I’ve been working really hard on it. The other day Kiah told me that we have been doing a lot of fun stuff recently. That made me so happy! I guess it’s working.

We made a list of all the stuff we want to do this summer. We’ve done about a 1/4 of it. These are the things that I didn’t get pictures of. We needed new rechargeable batteries for a while. I finally got some so I could get some pictures of all our fun. I make separate posts for those things we do have pictures of.
Last week we had the entire Wright family together for the first time in 5 years. It was so nice to be all together. Saturday we got pictures of the whole group. The last time we got a picture of everyone was at our wedding… It’s been a few years. I was so excited too because we’ve never had family pictures before. And they turned out great!
