Our LIttle Graduate...Jordan

Jordan did it, he successfully completed preschool. He had a wonderful year full of gymnastics, karate, rock climbing, sports, swimming and scholastic achievements of course.  Jordan had several field trips including... Staheli Farm,Animal museum, dentist, Home Depot, Library, and Fire House to name a few.  It was so fun to watch him grow and learn.  His final assessment showed that he is MORE than ready to start Kindergarten, he could do everything that was asked and was even trying to read and sound out all the words around the class room.  Jordan's teacher said he "is such a joy to be with...he knows how to have fun and is very popular with the kids, but knows how and when to settle down and learn. He would always answer the questions and would really pay attention."  Jordan and his class mates put on a really great show for us and the graduation program was so fun to be at.

The proud graduates.

Miss Mary had so many special things ready for Jordan.  There was a great book of his special assignments, a cute t-shirt, a fun CD with pictures of all the fun during the year and a year book with his class mates.  We are so proud of Jordan and know that he is ready to move on to "BIG -K" and all the fun that includes!

We love you Jordan !
Here is the Smile box with all the songs and Jordan's speaking part for the Grandma's, Aunts and Cousins that didn't get to attend.

Our Mother's Day Weekend

On our way to Grandma's house, thanks goodness we don't have to ride on a horse drawn sleigh !

This Mother's day was a little different for our family this year, my baby brother Jonathan returned home from his mission on Thursday. So the weekend was filled with reuniting, meeting new family members and catching up. His homecoming was at 9:00 on Sunday (no sleeping in or breakfast for the Mommy's), but we had a wonderful day full of family.  The strange thing was I didn't get any pictures of Jon, our family or ANYTHING!  I'm am a disgrace to bloggers around the world :(
I did capture our attempt at getting a grandchildren/cousin shot.  It is harder than it looks, we have 10 children under 7 (Parker is the oldest)...then my sister married Nate who has 2 older girls who were very helpful.  Which picture/grouping do you like best ?
The Standing...in birth order  Pose

That didn't work so well so we tried
The Sitting  Pose

We got really brave and tried our luck at
The Family Rock Pose
Luckily no children were injured by falling off (or being pushed off) of the large rock :)

The boys were climbing on the nets so we thought we would try an action shot...so they wouldn't have to hold still.
The Spiderman Pose

Then we thought of a brilliant idea, put them on a slide... great idea in theory! If only the ones in the middle didn't cry about being crushed :)
The Torture-Chamber Slide Pose

We really did have a great weekend with family, life is always great when you are with your cousins!  With this group there is never a dull moment.

Our "Fancy" Tea Party

Jordan,Taleah and I and the opportunity to attend a Fabulous Tea Party hosted by Jordan's preschool. We all put on our "Fancies" on and took our carriage to the beautiful new park. Taleah's outfit says "This is my little black dress", i love it...Jordan hated the idea of "wearing Sunday clothes" so we compromised with a button shirt and shorts :) I was lucky enough to barrow my Grandma's hat from England in the 40's, it is definitely an original
(thanks Mom for letting me barrow it!)

They had such cute programs, and place settings.  The kids put on a wonderful program with singing and poems and a hilarious questionnaire the children filled out for us. It was so fun to see Jordan with all his friends that he has made over the year...although it was hard to get a picture,
these kids do not hold still very long!

After the program, the children were so cute dishing up and serving their Mommy's.  Jordan was careful to pick only the best out...what a sweet sight, Jordan and chocolate (what could be better?) The only thing NOT "fancy-fabulous" was the bees!  I guess they were in the garbage cans, so the park service came to empty them...well that just made them MAD and they were swarming us the whole party.  So if it looks like the kids had ants in their pants...it was just the bees if you plees :)

I thought you would like to see Jordan's answers to the questionnaire:

WHY I LOVE MY MOMMY...
I love my Mommy when she FEEDS ME YUMMYS!
My mommy is as pretty as a BUTTERFLY
My Mommy can do lots of things. I think she is best at FEEDING MY SISTER
( obviously a big part of the last year...but is this the best thing I can do?)
My Mommy likes to go to MCDONALDS ( Not REALLY !)
My Mommy hates to EAT BUGS !
I like to made my Mommy happy by CLEANING UP MY ROOM
My Mommy needs to  DO THE LAUNDRY (Seriously, the bane of my existence!)
My Mommy always tells me TO CLEAN UP AND DO MY LAUNDRY
My Mommy and I like to GO TO THE PARK
My Mommy is LIKE 65 year old ( geez, I thought I was aging better than that !)
Here is the Smile box if you want to see the whole program and more pictures !
