NATHAN AND AMANDA GILES....THE NEWLYWEDS

Last week my cute sister Amanda married her sweetheart Nate. We are so excited for them and their little family. It was a beautiful day, a gorgeous couple and lots of family fun. Despite a few wardrobe malfunctions, the day was perfect! Here is the group gathering for the big event.

Amanda and Nate look so happy, we wish them the best.

Making everything legal and official.

After the ceremony, there was the photo shoot of course. These were the unofficial pictures snapped behind the scenes. Yes,the pregnant one is me...wow is my baby bump really THAT big?

We had a wonderful dinner at the Prairie Schooner in Ogden. YUMMY, is all that I can say. Ryan was lucky enough to sit surrounded by women, whom he could talk into trying their meats. He had large helping of all the different kinds.

The wedding cake was so cute, perfect for Amanda and Nate! Here is the cutting ceremony.

Fabulous Cousin Fun at Lagoon !

A few weeks ago, Parker and Jordan found a Lagoon brochure and spent hours looking over the map and discussing what they wanted to do. It had been 2 years since we had gone so I casually mentioned to my Mom that we should take the kids when Laura's family was in town. Well, my Mom being the awesome Grandma that she is, planned a Lagoon cousin trip to die for (literally)! We had 7 children 5 and under, two mommies, one Grandma and one pregnant mommy ( I'm not sure if I was a help or a hindrance) Luckily, Ryan was able to get off work and Amanda's fiancee Nate was able to come. Then to even make the party better, our cousin Jenni and her daughter Claire and our cousin Travis met us! WOW, what a great day we had!!! The weather was perfect, the lines not to bad and you couldn't bet the company. I spent the day walking from bench to bench with baby Jason, neither one of us could ride much... so we spent the day eating treats and drinking water :) I loved to watch the kids as they ran from ride to ride, squealing with delight and laughing. There were a few favorites (bumper cars, helicopters and fighter planes) that they rode over and over, yelling "I'm going AGAIN!" Oh, to be a child again with so much energy and love for life! Ryan was such a trooper, he kept everyone corralled and went of the bigger rides with everyone. Parker couldn't wait to go on "Spider Man" (the Spider) and "Batman"(the Bat), which he had noticed on the brochure map. He is growing so fast, he is almost to tall for some of the "baby rides". All the boys liked the "Pirate ship" and giggled as it tickled their tummies. We rode the train several time, a highlight for Jason and I. This was a great day, fun had by all and no one got lost or hurt... a success by my books.

Happy Forth of July!

I know it is a little late, but HAPPY 4th OF JULY ! We had a blast this year, in Farmington. We were lucky enough to have Laura and her boys here (they are in the process of moving from OHIO to NEW MEXICO) and Amanda and her Addie and Aiden. So there was lots of cousin fun to be had. Here we are lined up and ready for the fabulous Kaysville parade to start. You have to go at midnight to set up your things and save your spot, and then go HOURS early to guard your territory ;) But with this group, everything is an awesome and fun adventure!
The line-up ready for candy. No one could resist this cute group and they made a haul of candy!
Here they are comparing candy and making swaps.

Nothing says 4th of July like picking cherries! We were lucky that my Aunt had a beautiful tree and was willing to share the bounty. Ryan and Parker did a great job picking cherries and fighting the birds for the "Sweet spots"! Jordan was not as interested in the cherries as he was in playing in their amazing backyard. Thanks Francoms for the yummy treats!
We saw some great fireworks up on the mountain side in North Salt Lake, it was a beautiful view of the valley and a great firework display.
