My Handsome Husband Graduated!!

Ben did it! He finally is finished with school. Nine years of marriage and four kids later we are officially NOT students. We will finally have a a paycheck (what is that??) and we will finally be able to say 'Dr. Taylor'. Ben is not at all the type who cares about being called an actually doctor so it is weird to think that he is one. And while Ben could care less about the title there are only three specific people who will have to refer to him as Dr. Taylor: Joe, Than and Sam. Ben's parents and his grandma were able to come out. Unfortunately, like everything in life, the pictures didn't turn out great so we only have a few decent ones. Luckily Ben's parents got some more (and Jesse also got some).
Here is the group of Mormon guys that made up our first friends and Ben's study groups while here. Turns out that optometry's color is green so that's what the green is for.
This picture below is where I almost lost it and just cried. Luckily I held it together enough to only break down crying in the car on the way home. Ben has such good friends out here and I really wanted a picture of him, Scott and Brandon. I just like his friends. I like when they all hang out and spend the night playing Call of Duty, joke around with each other, text about funny things, call about serious things and they all have really cool wives that I love hanging out with. We have been so blessed with great friends out here and it kills me to think that we are leaving such great friends.
This weekend has been an emotional roller-coaster. Excited to go, sad to leave, proud of his accomplishments but know that it means we are leaving this place that I LOVE. And church tomorrow is going to be awful as I have to say goodbye to our ward. But, for graduation Ben did get to shoot a .50 caliber sniper rifle with his dad.

Heidi and Kaylee at work

On Sundays Ben and I take our Sunday nap after we put Daisy and Blake to bed which leaves Heidi and Kaylee up alone. It's funny to see what they do during that time since we don't watch TV on sundays. Today they have been laughing nonstop and making videos of it. They think these videos are like the funniest thing ever so they just know everyone who watches them are going to laugh and leave a comment. So leave a comment about how funny they are so they will feel special.

And you thought we couldn't do it

Oh yeah! Do you see that? Do you see the van packed up with everything we own! Do you see that there is room to spare?!?!?! YES! We did a trial run this weekend to see just how much room it would all take and how much more we would need to sell but turns out we can keep everything we wanted! I was pretty pumped. We have one weekend left to have a yard sale and let's pray it doesn't rain so we can get a little more money out of our stuff.
with everything packed or sold it's pretty funny to see the drawbacks to that plan. First is that the kids have to find new ways to entertain themselves. Blake is still getting in the cupboards but has added this nice big bowl to the mix. I think the funniest thing was the other day when we had friends over and Kaylee and Hadley came running out with their toys of Lysol toilet bowl cleaner and my deodorant because that's all that's left to play with. But the biggest drawback so far is that the table is gone. The girls can eat at their little kid table but now Blake can reach all the food and he has either stolen the food (like the picture below) or he is screaming at the girls while they are crying and trying to keep their food away from him.
And here are two pictures I'm glad I was able to get before we moved. One is of my book club-i LOVE my book club and I LOVE these women. It has been the best group to be with and I was really happy that I could host one of the nights before we moved. We didn't have any furniture so we did a Memorial Day Picnic on my floor complete with pulled pork and delicious Memphis-style coleslaw (and it was my favorite coleslaw so far!)
And the last picture is of the Relief Society Presidency that I have been blessed to be a part of. I love working with these ladies. They are funny, amazing, inspired, hard-working Southern women. I want to be just like them one day.
