Gma Schoonie Visit

And the finale to our September...a visit from Gma Schoonie! Gma Schoonie went to the BYU football game with us and hung out playing with our friends. Good Gma time!

I think this was gma and Ruby working on Ruby's name.

Gma is a good sport and went out a played a little football.  Gma/Ruby/Soph against Jack/Luc/Brig.

Fall Bike Ride

Nearing the end of our September...we took a bike ride.  My first bike ride of the year.  It was so nice to feel like going on a bike ride.  I miss riding. Noelle and I took our friends.  Loving the looks on Luc and Jack's faces.  I can't remember for sure if Luc was upset, but this definitely looks like her perturbed face.  Good memory.

Oh good there's her smile in this one and Jack's back to his posing!

Taking a snack break.

Screaming "we want out."  Had to just get moving again.

BYU Football Game

Jack received a membership to the Cosmo Kids Club for his birthday. Part of the package was vouchers for a football game.  Jack wanted Brig to come with so we traded Brig for Ruby and Mollee for the night.  We saw BYU play Hawaii on September 28th.
When these 3 get along all together it is so sweet!

All decked out in blue and white, ready for the game...

We sat pretty high up so this was the view from the top of the stadium overlooking the track at BYU.

Trent's mom was in town so she was able to come to.  Loved having her hang out with us and cheer on the cougars!  And hello, yes that is the top of the stadium.  I have to say I was a bit nervous climbing those last few, steep stairs.  I'm a chicken:).

Nice view of the field.

And the BYU blue man group that was a bit backwards.  Jack was thrilled to have his picture with them.  After all they are famous!

Frontrunner Test Runs

They have been working on the Frontrunner tracks for several years and now the Frontrunner trains are cruising by our house doing test runs.  My friends are highly anticipating the day when they get to ride on the train (December)!  The trains cruise by pretty fast and I have to say have made me a bit nervous.  We have talked more about train safety and really stopping and looking at the tracks before crossing.
I was on a 1st grade field trip at the pumpkin patch that was right next to the railroad tracks.  A Frontrunner train came roaring by and all 100 first graders were ecstatic...in unison they all yelled FRONTRUNNER!  The red, blue and white train has some pretty excited fans.

Ruby Jane

When Luc and Jack went back to school Ruby and I tried to get into a new routine. We would go on walks in the morning. Sometimes I would put both girls in the double stroller and sometimes I would walk and Ruby would ride her bike. This particular morning Ruby kicked butt by riding to the pioneer park and back home, which is about 2 miles!  She is a tough little chickie!
Having fun on the swings!

I love her happiness.

Ruby is the picture taking queen at our house.  I have had to lock my phone so the only thing she has access to is the camera.  I found these lovely pictures on my phone of how I look when I am doing her hair.  Ruby looks adorable and well I look a little scary...lol!

Another activity Ruby loves to do is go to the library.  Soph came with us on this library excursion.  They are so cute when they plopped down "reading" books.

I LOVE hanging out with my Ruby Toodles.  She is always adventurous and kicks me out of my comfort zone.

Carmel Apples

One afternoon I decided to make caramel apples with my friends. Noelle and I usually do it together but I think we had apples and we could not find a time to do it together??  I knew had caramel in the cupboard that needed to be used up.  When I got it out I found that my friends had been enjoying it.  Little "mouse" finger prints...

We used what we had on had for toppings.  All in all I think they all enjoyed their apples!

Fall Soccer Wrap Up

Jack had such a great time playing Fall soccer. He had a great team and a great coach! They would have one game a week and practices on Saturday morning.  Trent ended up helping out quite a bit with Jack's team.  He would fill in when the coach was not able to be there for a couple of games and he was able to help with substituting kids in and out the other games.  I was glad that I was able to watch him play more than I did in the Spring.  Jack had a good feel for the soccer field and was not afraid to go after the ball.  He had to watch himself a few times because he wanted to push into other kids like he does in hockey.  He definitely has the ability to play soccer and enjoys it!
