My 5 Month Summary

February:
We had a lot of fun in February. We went snow skiing in Colorado with Chris's family. Parker skied for the first time and he loved it (that might be an understatement)! His favorite part was skiing through the trees. He was so crazy and really good.
We also had a couple of races this year. We were too busy to do very many, but we still had a ton of fun!
March:
The boys and I went to Utah with my mom to visit my sister, Stevie and her husband, Kyle. We had so much fun with them.
While we were there, Arizona played Duke in the March Madness.... and of course Arizona won. We had fun making posters to decorate their front room. Kyle wasn't very excited about Duke loosing.
We had to stop at the temple on the way out to take this picture.
April:
The boys had so much fun at their Father & Son's camping trip. This is one of the activities that they did - shave their dad. The other games they did - tug of war, root beer chugging and egg toss.
Jacob got second place in the science fair this year. He tested if alka seltzer would fizz faster in cold water or hot water. He had a lot of fun with this project and he did a great job!
Then it was Easter time. The boys always love coloring the eggs. Do you think we had enough eggs?
May:
Jacob turned 10 years old. I can not believe I am old enough to have a 10 year old. I have loved all 10 years of having Jacob in my life! He is so amazing!!!!
We had a movie night for his party and then we ended with a sleepover. I had 7 boys sleeping in my front room (did not include Parker and Cole). We had a blast. The morning came and of course with that many boys in a room, we had a massive pillow fight. Who do you think was in the middle of it all? Chris - the biggest kid of all.

Jacob also decided that he wanted to take part in 4-H this year. So, we got some pigs! Aren't they so cute? The little one is Bits and the big one is Links. They are much bigger now and so much fun to have. They love to have their bellies rubbed.
Along with everything else that is going on with use, I was called to be the Primary President in our ward. I really love being in the primary! I am so very thankful for the opportunity I have to learn from the amazing children in our ward.
June:
This month ended the baseball season! I really love watching the boys play baseball. Jacob and Riley were on the same team this year (so much better).
Riley loves to play catcher.
Jacob really likes to play 3rd base.
Both Jacob and Riley also got to pitch. I think that Riley liked it a little more than Jacob did. They both had a great season.
Cole really wants to play baseball. He runs into the dugout and puts on a helmet whenever he has a chance.

Jacob Broke his arm

Jacob broke his right arm on the last day of practice. I still have not heard what really happened because I don't know if anyone really saw it or not. Jacob told me that he tripped backwards over someone and fell on his arm. They he laid there and said "I need some help!" He was so tough. So, that is the story for now. He broke both bones in his forearm. Doesn't it look nice?
Jacob at the hospital. He didn't even cry until the nurse told him he couldn't eat anything. He only had some snacks before practice and so he was really hungry and Jacob really likes to eat. Poor kid. We went to the hospital right after it happened, at about 5:30. They couldn't do anything here and so we had to go to Tucson. We didn't leave the hospital there until after 1:00. It was a long night.
After it was all fixed. I think he feels much better.Jacob got to be the head captain at the last game, so he got to call the coin toss. He thought that was pretty cool.

End of Aug.- Oct.

Happy Late Birthday Cole

I mentioned that we were camping on Cole's birthday and so we actually celebrated it when we got home. He loved that he could make a mess all over. I still can't believe that my baby is ONE.

July Update

I am sorry that I am only updating every month. I feel that once a month is actually really good for me.
To start out we went to the high school to watch fireworks on the 4th of July. We were sad because this was the first year that Chris was not with us (he had to work). So we sat with some friends. It was nice!

We loved eating watermelon as we were waiting for the show. I was really glad that Cole was not afraid of the fireworks. We had a great time!

The bad news came when we got home from the fireworks - I forgot to put our dog (Moo) in the house when we left, so she ran away because she was so scared of the fireworks. We spent the next day driving around looking for her. We didn't have any luck. That night I made flyers to put up all over town the next day. We woke up the next day and My friend calls and said that she found Moo. She was down the street making her way home. We were so happy that she was ok and back home with us.

The day that Moo came home was Parker's birthday.

He turned the Big 3 years old. He is such a big boy now and so independent. He had a lot of fun on his birthday with all his friends. I made these really cute Popsicles for his party, they looked like watermelon. The kids seemed to really like them.
Shortly after Parker's birthday, my whole family went to Lake Powell. We had a BLAST!!!We did some hiking into this beautiful slot. This was Cole's favorite place. Well, he really liked anywhere that he could be in the water. He loved it.
We always have one day that is the pirate day. All the kids dress up in their pirate stuff and we decorate the boat with all kinds of pirate stuff and then Brown Beard comes and takes us on a treasure hunt. It was fun that Saundra and Michael also dressed up this year. We always look forward to this day.
I also managed to get some skiing in. I think I did pretty good. I won't lie; I was really hurting after. Haha.
The last thing we did before school started, was go camping. It was so much fun. We were so glad that Saundra and Michael came with us. These are just a couple of my favorite pics from the trip.

This was on Cole's birthday. He really liked being on the dirt bike. This was a really cool picture of Parker and Saundra's new puppy (Stark) running. I love it.This butterfly really liked hanging around our camp. It is so beautiful.

Sorry this post is so long. We had a busy, but very fun July.

A Long Time

I know it has been forever since I have posted. Since my last post -

Jacob turned 9 years old.
Parker let Cole try M&Ms. Needless to say, Cole really liked them.
Jacob and Riley had some friends over and they had a camp out in the backyard. They had a blast! We went to the Gila Valley Temple open house. I loved being able to take the boys into the Temple. It has been 2 months since the open house and the boys still talk about it. It is so amazingly beautiful. Jacob gave Riley a beautiful black eye. He hit him with a bat. He didn't break anything, but it sure looked good.

Baseball is over.Cole got his first haircut. He was so good, just sat there and let Chris cut it.Doesn't he look so good? Now that I am up to date, I will really try and do better.

It's Baseball Time

I love when baseball season comes! This year it is a little more crazy than last year because Jacob and Riley are on different teams. That means practice at the same time, at different places and games at the same time at different places. It is really hard to be in 2 places at once. At least this is a small town and it only takes a couple of minutes to get from place to place and the game field are really close, there is just a parking lot between them. Jacob and 2 of his really good friends (Tanner and Coleman) getting ready for the parade.Riley and his friend Cael also getting ready.Parker and I watching the parade go by, waiting for some candy.I took all the boys home with me after the parade. It was a nice ward day and so they decided to play in the water and then lay out to dry off. They are so crazy. Then the games began. Riley had a game first. He did great.Jacob had a game a couple of nights later. He got a hit off the very first pitch. He did so good. Riley's coach took them to DQ after the game. The girl who works there is in my church class, she had a messed up cone and she held it out and asked me if I wanted it, Cole grabbed a hold of it and was not going to let it go. That was the first time he had ice cream and he sure loved it.
I love the look he was giving Riley "You better not touch this cone or you are going to die!" Haha. I love it.
