This is Jomama shouting out to all my friends and family. Here is a taste of what my family is doing these days.
Here I am with Tanya after her concert in August- she wails!
As you can see our couch is red. We are redoing part of the house. Hopefully we will have a dining room and new kitchen by Christmas.
Clark's producer feels confident that money for the movie is imminent. Check out the reviews for Big Dreams Little Tokyo- the last indy he produced. It's lookin' good.
Here are some pics of Jack's first big surgery back in August. He was so swollen he looked like an alien. His next surgery is on the 14th of November- coming up! Our little sweetie pie.
Gabriel is doing K12 internet school and liking it- he is a terrific student. He is also playing violin in the charter school orchestra and taking tap dance. He enjoys all things Star Wars and is really into the history of war. Guns, light sabers...violin, opera... he is quite a versatile little guy.
Nathan is doing very well at the nearby Kindergarten. A very well behaved and capable student- his teacher really likes him. He is also taking tap dance. He loves all things "nature-ish". He is a great mind for science and observes everything around him. He just won first place at his school in the Reflections contest for a little movie he made- so it will go on to compete on a District level (Just like Gabe when he was in Kindergarten! Those Schaffer boys and their movie making mania!)
Jack is trying to catch up in weight and skills and coming along. He is a wonderful blessing to our family- a smily and fun addtion. Also he is a good reminder to us that we take waaayyy too much for granted. We are grateful that he was willing to take on his tough little life to bring us blessings and increased faith.
Clark and I recently spent a couple of days in Cedar City for the Shakespeare Festival with another couple- our friends Jamie and Maribel Rees. It was a great diversion and so much fun! We saw Merchant of Venice (remember me in that in high school?) and a funny, campy, musical Johnny Guitar. Both were fantastic! (see photo of the 4 of us in front of Shakespeare bust)
I am being a mom, K12 teacher, and still finding time for my hobbies, writing- (my novel still-yes and short stories) socializing and household duties and keeping in shape. I will probably be on the City women's volleyball team this season and pick up soccer again in the Spring. Love you all- enjoy the pics- I will post Halloween later.
