A Moment to Enjoy...How Cute They ARE!

Image
I just had a few fun pics laying around and I thought I'd share them. I just love my girls and have so much fun with them! And I love how Kyra wants to be just as big as her sisters. The girls loved playing in the snow this winter and Allie remembered too much of "A Christmas Story" and started yelling "I can't put my arms down" when I got her dressed up! She even made me try to push her arms down and she'd pop them back up. :) After every bath or shower, the Emma and Alliehave to have turbans put in their hair! And Kyra, of course, needs one too!

Philosophies of Emma

Image
So Emma is already talking about what she wants to do for her birthday in July. She wants it to be Princess and the Frog themed (a little funny, since that's sort of what Allie had). Anyway, has it very specific in her mind. E: I want Princess and the Frog, and I want to invite only girls. M: Alright hon, that sounds fine. How about we talk about it closer to your birthday? E: Except, I want to invite Uncle Ty. M: Okay, but I thought you wanted to invite only girls? E: Well Mom, we will need a FROG! So to my sweet brother out there. Thanks for being such a great frog, from birth until now! (For those of you who don't know, he had jaundice so bad at birth that he was green...)

Allie's 5th

Image
This was taken the day my baby girl turned 5! She's really excited to be old enough now to go to school with Emma in the fall and not so excited that she hit her self-imposed deadline to start eating vegetables. We had a fun little party where she invited her friend Aria (and Aria's mom) and we went to watch The Princess and The Frog. It was a delightful film and the girls loved it! So I didn't know that the camera was filming until it started filming. Why I didn't rotate the camera when I figured that out will always remain a mystery to me... :)

Dogs vs. Kids

So, we have this dog, Tuck. He is a force of nature to be reckoned with. I truly believe that if we let him loose behind enemy lines he could single handily reap destruction that would cripple their army. And he has been loose in my back yard. He has chewed up the hoses to my AC unit, and sprinkler system. He learned how to lift the lid to the box that houses the central system to our sprinkler system and stripped all the wires as well as the wire hooking up to our Digis satellite. He has shredded our deck and had dug several holes 2' deep and 3' wide. As a consequence, he is no longer free to roam the back yard, but spend his time in a kennel until we can get a dog run built. I also have this kid, Kyra. She is also a force to be reckoned with. Between her and Tuck, they could devastate nations. She can climb anywhere and get into anything. She thinks the toilet is her personal swimming pool and must be under constant supervision. She is cute and sweet and will jab h...

Inner Peace After the Holiday Season...

Image
I am passing this on to you because it definitely works, and we could all use a little more inner peace in our lives. By following a simple advice heard on the Oprah show, you too can find inner peace. Dr Oz proclaimed, 'The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished." I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't finished and before leaving the house this morning... I finished off a package of Oreos, the r emainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, s ome Doritos, and a box of chocolates. You have no idea how good I feel right now! Okay, I didn't write this, but I loved it and just HAD to share it with you all!!!!

Not as young as I used to be ....

Growing up, I remember going to Merlin Olsen park in Logan, just below the temple and ice skating, several times a week. My Dad was in charge of running it, so it made things easy. I even had my own pair of skates. I never got really good, but good enough not to fall, do a basic spin and skate on one leg. A month after starting to date Jason, we went ice skating on a date and I was thrilled to see that my skills had not left me (though he didn't really have any and it led to me having to 'hold his hand' and help him stay up!) Three kids and several pounds later has seen me at the Ogden Ice Sheet this holiday season. I held my sweet little girls' hands to help them learn! It was such a treat to introduce them to a sport I love. Emma wanted out of there as fast as she could, but Allie and Kyra couldn't get enough. I decided to take a spin by myself. Once around, getting in the groove. Twice around ... wait. Why are my toes above my head? After I wa...

Dancing Queen

Allie had her Winter dance recital and it was so fun to watch her. She has really improved being on the competition team! In the first dance Love Bug she's the furthest on the right laying on the floor. In Rockin' Robin she's the first one to walk out on stage (yes, that's her, a whole head shorter than anyone else). I love that little girl and it's great to see her do something she really enjoys (as maybe you can tell from all the poses she strikes when taking pictures of her!) Sorry for the long distance, but I for the video recorder so I took this on my regular camera and this is max zoom.
