What an accomplishment!

I found this really cute pattern for a sweater which I had to have. I made one for Maysi to see how it would turn out. It turned out so cute that I had to make one for Emily. I started the first of December so that I could get it done in time for her birthday. Adam's was next so I kept going with his sweater so that he could get one for his birthday. Ethan was next to have a birthday, which is in the same month as Adam's. So the Myrup kids were all done by the first part of January. Mandy decided that since the boys colors were green and blue, and Maysi's was blue she needed to be in a color closer to the girls, which are pink. Mandy doesn't like pink, so I made Maysi another one which was red. I then tackled the Bowden's. I started them the first part of February, and happily I finished all sweaters before February was out. I then had all of the kids over to take their pictures. Here is how cute they turned out. Oh, the sweaters didn't look too bad either.

How did Valentines get past me?

Well it came true, you didn't hear from me until after Valentines Day. So now that I am past that day, I guess I need to update again. Wonder if I should just go through the rest of the holidays to be safe... I did notice Michael's last update was after the Super Bowl, he still recovering from his loss. Mandy on the other hand is right on top of things. It would be fun to see Maysi in that chair from beginning to now. What a big jump! Have you told all your friends about her dresses yet? They are too cute to just hang on a hanger. We need to help her get them sold.

Speaking of selling things, I am happy to report that both brown chairs have gone to live someplace else, yes, we sold them last night. We had to break up the pair, but sold both nonetheless. Wa hoo! Now we just need to finish the basement so we can bring in the new love seats. I'm excited to get this done.

Another thing that I am proud to announce, the sweaters are done! So now I want to have pictures with all the grandkids. Maybe we can have you all over for dinner and take the kids pictures! I'll let you know when it's best.

Well that brings me current for now... hopefully I can keep on track better in the future.

Updated!!!!

I'm embarrassed that I haven't updated this blog for 3 months. Mandy informed me last night that she tried to go in an update my blog, but didn't know my password. My plan was to update it on January 15th, while I was off from work. I wasn't successful in this because I first tried installing a new program (well if you think getting it on November 29th is new) and discovered I needed more space on my C drive. In moving things over, I spent the rest of the time uninstalling and re-installing. Needless to say, I didn't get my blog updated. So to prevent Mandy from having to do my work, I am updating this and wishing you a HAPPY THANKSGIVING - MERRY CHRISTMAS - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! and if I'm slow again HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

TAGGED!!!!

I really am getting slammed with tags! I'm sorry that I don't have anyone to send them to, but I'll answer back.

Michael sent me a blog tag that has rules, and I'll do my best:

* Link to the person who tagged you: The link is Bowden Bulletin.
Post the rules on your blog
* Write six random things/unspectacular quirks about yourself
* Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them
* Let each person you have tagged know by leaving a comment on their blog
* Let the tagger know when your entry is posted

1. Light switches in my house need to be up when on and down when off. I can't sleep if they are not all down at night.
2. My fear is mice and rats. However, I am better than I use to be as Key Labs had two lab rats that I worked in the same area. I won. The rats died.
3. I spend every spare moment knitting. Yeah, I'm hooked. (pun intended)
4. I think Phoenix was cold. (it was a relief to go outside and warm up)

I've been tagged!

How terrible to be tagged with no one to tag back. Maybe I'll choose my mom and my sister. But neither of them blog, so I'm afraid it will come to an end with me...

Here goes...

My kitchen sink.
(glad I cleaned it before I went to work)
My fridge.

My laundry.
My toilet.

My side of the closet.
My favorite room.

My favorite shoes.
My dream vacation. (Paris, France)

My family. (The rest of the family are below in my last post)

New Family Picture

You can imagine my embarrassment when I was helping my Mom with decorating her house. I put up her pictures of her family. Ron and Terry's were fairly updated. Mine on the other hand hadn't been done since 2000. Michelle and Jason were married, Michael and Aubrey were engaged, and Mandy and Derek were just dating. (he hadn't even gone on his mission). So we had the family over for dinner last Sunday, and I begged and pleaded with them to sit for a family photo. Jason said we only had one shot. But I sneaked in three.
Happy to say, here is the latest family photo. It will need to be changed come April!

2008 Vacation

This past week we went on vacation. We had a really nice time. We started our trip in Seattle, then we drove to Portland. Then we flew down to Disneyland. Then we flew home. Here are a few pictures of our trip.

We sure had a good time, and were sad when we had to leave sunny California and come back to rainy Salt Lake.
