Anyway I have come with a Purpose.
Am here to share the MrLim links that he mentioned during sectionals. I think they're from the pro olderMrLim recordings so the quality sounds really awesome!
Actually to be honest it sounds better than I expected it to be. Then I actually couldn't believe it was us. Until I heard the familiar mistakes.
But whatever lalalaaa I think thats a very bad sign it means the mistakes have been there for a long time. Its almost a characteristic of our piece now. To play the notes the certain wrong way or whatever.
Anyway the links came with a very friendly message: Hay girls, here are the recording of your playing on Tuesday if you're interested to listen.
Why he must say Hay I'll never understand. I think he's trying to be Hip. :/ To fit in with his new cool image. Or something.
Actuallyy I think we sound decent. Except we sound really boring. Like just odd background music. We need to be Special y'knoww.
Like you know whats speciaaal. Like Special with magic dust and stars flying everywhere and feeling lightheaded kinda special.
Like how the stupid fake packet Famous Amos you get from NTUC tastes like shit but the real one from the store is like SO BLOODY AWESOME AND SPECIAL I WANNA BUY 500G OF IT AND EAT THEM ALL UP. Like its the same brand. The same supposed recipe. But somehow there's something Magical about the ones you buy from the store. Maybe its the FREE SMELLS. The weird warm lighting in the store. Or the fact that the cookies you get from the store are still FRESH and WARM. BUT YOU JUST GOTTA EAT IT. Not like the shitty supermarket ones.
Okay I think I'm babbling for all I know you guys don't even eat Famous Amos. Or you think the supermarket ones are the best thing you ever ate.
BUT THE POINT IS we have to be Special. Somehow. One way or another. And make the judgey people sit up straight and stare at us. (At this point I think I'm supposed to remind everyone to SIT PROPERLY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. AND JIAHUI I HOPE YOU WEAR SHORTS ON THAT DAY.) I don't know what we're supposed to do to achieve it maybe its just as simple as letting go. And playing that note slightly longer. Or crescendo-ing more dramatically. Or tonguing harder. Or envisioning giant ugly birds flying around ferris wheels in your head as you play idk. Whatever floats your boatt.
But obviously before you want to be Special you must first like get your notes/intonation right luh. Being Special is like taking it one step further.
Okay I think I'm really rambling now yay this is such a long post ARE YOU HAPPY NOW JANEZZ. I HAVE MADE UP FOR THE PAST.
AND START DECIDING WHAT METHODS WE WANT TO USE TO EXPLOIT SAXYJON!

im feeling a bit funny after translating my chinese culture script from english to chinese. D: chinese makes me feel funny. D:
yayyy adrenaline is a hormone! that is injected directly into our bloodstream! that activates our fight or flight senses! yay! i always though adrenaline was some odd liquid in our brain or something.

my drawer consists of shirts only. without the cuts and frou frou. and frilly. bahh.
and i dont want NYHCATFM or whatever its called now. i prefer the name CSM more anyway. :/
