Daddy and Harrison go to Vicksburg

Travis took Harrison down to Vicksburg for the weekend and left me to 'some' peace and quiet with Grayson and Alexis. It was Red Carpet Bowl weekend, which means, Harrison got to see two football games in one night. Then the next day he got to ride on a true 'Gator' with MaLin (because Vicksburg High School's mascot is the Gators).
They also did some sight seeing by the river...

Welcome Baby Grayson on August 4, 2009

The story of Grayson Wayne Vance and how he came to see us:

On Aug 3, I went to the Doctor for my weekly check up and she determined I was close to 4 cm dilated. That of course could mean that he would be born at any minute or weeks. She scheduled me an induction on August 13 in case. Well, I started having contractions that night about 1am in the morning. I got up and watched tv and timed the contractions. About 4am I called my parents and asked them to come up here so we could go to the hospital. At this point the contractions were about 10 minutes apart, but still not regular enough to be for sure. My parents had to get ready and arrived at my house about 6:30am. At this point, I stayed around and talked for a bit to make sure and then contractions started coming really fast. I made Travis drive fast... We got to the hospital and I had already preregistered but we still had to fill out forms! As contractions were getting stronger, I was afraid I had missed my window for the epidural.
We get up to labor & delivery about 7:30 and they put me in triage (observation) to make sure I was in labor! Seriously, by now I was convinced! At 4cm when I arrived, and contractions 5 minutes apart... I was soon 6cm and she started an IV drip. Then minutes later moved me to a room. Contractions were 3 minutes or so apart and the dr arrived. 7-8 cm and I got my epidural. 20 minutes later Grayson was born! So, it all happened fast! I have been blessed by a beautiful and healthy baby boy...

He was 7lbs 6oz, 19.5 inches at 10:17am

'The Buds' Harrison always says that him and pop pop are 'buds', but now that Grayson is here.. he gets to join the club.

Henry Co vs Milan scrimmage

We got the best seats in the house during the Milan and Henry County Football scrimmage... and we didn't have to pay to enter. Our friends live behind the field, so we got to grill and watch the game. Harrison and Lilly enjoyed Dr. Pepper and Chips!

Alexis got to play too..
