No, I want THIS one!

Osha is my kind of gal. She has a basket full of toys to choose from and fur siblings to play with. But the one thing she won't let go of is the empty toilet paper tube she confiscated. BOL!

How about you? Do you play with something your pawrents think is just a silly bit of trash but you KNOW is the bestest toy ever?

Mayflower in the Snow

 Remember sweet Momma Mayflower? She had the Thanksgiving pups! Well, her pups have ALL found their furever homes, so Mayflower gets to concentrate on being a dog again! She decided that she liked the snow, but her foster momma said she's NOT a fan of the rain!

OMD, it snowed!

I know you Northern pups aren't impressed, but here in Texas we don't gets a lot of snow. We had our ice storm earlier this week, which was yucky! Then yesterday we were supposed to get a dusting to 1" of snow. Hah! It started coming down really heavy and all the roads got yucky, so the nice people at Momma's work said, "Go home!" Momma went!

We got in lots of snuggle time on the couch. That's me and my kitty sister Pigeon with Momma. Then it was so cold that Scribbles and Pigeon decided to snuggle together!!

Cinderella and I snuggled in for a long, cozy nap. Cinderella with her toys, and me with my Momma. Just how it's meant to be!

 Then Momma had a totally kerazy idea. I mean kerAZY!! She actually thought it would be fun to go OUTSIDE in that nasty cold white stuff. Can you believe it?!

I told her ain't no way, ain't no how. I'm staying inside where it's warm and cozy and--- did you say WALKIES?! Get my coat, let's GO!!

Okay, I still prefer the couch and blankie. But walkies are always fun, even in the snow!

Brr!

LBR foster Vander says, "Get your blankies ready! It's COLD today, and we're even supposed to have SNOW!"

We has PUPPIES!!

That's right, furiends, Momma Mya's pups started coming late last night, and boy, are they beauties!! We have 7 so far -- 5 boys and 2 girls -- but we're not sure if she's completely done or not. Say hello to the Winter Wonderland pups!

#3 -- Our first girl, sweet Miss Arctic!

#4 -- our other girl, Nurse Cupcake! (The name's a long story. It's some kind of in-joke from some of the LBR volunteers.)

#6 - Chill! He's my favorite. Look, he's already trying to give kisses!!

And finally, #7 -- Slush!

 Aren't they just the cutest pups you've ever seen?! I loves them all already. I'll be sure to give you lots of updates on them. For now, I think Momma Mya has earned some sleep!

PeeS: I don't have any Marnie updates right now, sorry! We've been pretty well shut down for the past few days thanks to the ice storm, so she hasn't been able to see her regular vet. Right now they're waiting to see if her ear has enough blood flow left to save it. They may be able to just crop it a little more instead of removing the whole thing.
