Little Rock 10k and Half Marathon

We say that we were going to Little Rock for the 10k and the half marathon races, but in reality, that is not entirely true. We used the race as an excuse to go to see Gini, Billy, Ty and Jack. Sadly, a few kids got sick right before leaving for the trip, so we had to quickly book an airb&b to stay in so we wouldn't get Ty and Jack sick. We were sad to not get to stay with Gini and Billy, but thankfully, still got lots of good time with them once our kids were feeling a bit better!

Burton and I ran the 10k with Cori. We all 3 stayed together for the first 3/3.5 miles and then Cori pulled away from us and finished with a personal best time! This was Burton's first 10k and he did amazing. Our average pace was about 12:30 minute miles. I was so proud of his effort in training and his determination on race day.

Matt, Billy, Gini, David Teubl, and Dave and Leanna Vine all ran the half marathon (13.1 miles for those that don't know). Matt has done 2 half marathons in the past, as well as a 50k (that's just over 30 miles!) this last fall. For this half, he finished in 2.5 hours. He did struggle with some IT band pain in this race towards the end. We were so proud of his strength and stamina for this race! It as such a fun group of people to cheer for and watch run this half marathon.

Waiting to cheer for our runners.

And give a few high fives.

And get a few snuggles with Aunt Sarah.

These boys have such a sweet affection for one another.

Ready to run the 10k.

Mile 5

Finished the 10k and still standing!

Cheer section.

Half Marathon complete.

Celebrating David's birthday. He ran a half marathon to celebrate his 34th birthday and then we all ate steaks and cake with him that evening.

Helping feed baby Jack Jack.

And then Adalynn needed to feed baby Ellinore.

A long snuggle hug goodbye between Aunt Gini and Gibson.

26 and 27

We continue to plug along! Baby #3 seems to be growing and healthy! Baby moves all the time and Adalynn finally got to feel kicking for the first the other day. I loved seeing the wonder and amazement in her eyes at feeling those little baby kicks:)
Burton still talks about the fact that he has a baby in his tummy too. He tells us that he has a baby sister named "Josie Da" in his tummy.

Lake + Robisons + Cornetts = Two Amazing Weekends

We miss Ryan, Jen, Hailey and Grady so much!!! Some of our sweetest friends from Alaska now live in Georgia. We are so thankful that God brought them to Georgia shortly after he brought us to Texas! It makes it so nice for us that we can go see them a couple of times a year on our way out to see Matt's side of the family.
On this visit, we got to spend two full days on the lake! How fun. I hadn't been on the lake in years. and Matt had never been on the lake (until our first visit to Ryan and Jen a year ago). Matt picked up wakeboarding like a pro. And we had so much fun hanging out on the boat watching Ryan, Jen and even Hailey show us how it's done :)
We also loved getting to meet some of their friends and visit the church they attend with them. We are thankful that God is using them there in Georgia for his perfect purpose. We miss them (and know they miss Alaska)...but as I said, we're thankful God has them in Georgia right now!
So fun to see Grady and Burton play together!
And Lulu. What do we even say about this sweet puppy?? She is the newest addition to the Robison family and she is so so sweet! If Matt and I ever decide to get another dog, we will for sure have Jen help us find the perfect one...because this girl is so sweet!
It was so fun that Mimi got to come down for a day on the lake with us and the Robison's!
Tubing :)

Matt tearing it up on the wake board! I was so impressed with how quickly he picked it up!

Up and getting ready for the day on the lake!

Jennifer wake boarding!

Hailey was amazing!! Cannot believe at 7 years old this little lady is wake boarding!!
