OPERATION SURPRISE DAD....

...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
We totally surprised my dad by getting him a long over due big screen TV (you have to click on it)
For his 59th Birthday
He planned on watching the UFC Fights that night with all the guys at Ryan's brothers house...but our plan was to set it up while he was out to dinner & have everyone come watch the fights here--on the new HD plasma!!

"Wow-I can't beleive how clear it is...I guess that old TV was really small." DUH!!

So what he doesn't know is that we all went in on the TV so that WE could all enjoy watching TV over at their house now without having to squint to read the tiny text! HEH HEH HEH!!!

TWO MONTHS DOWN...FINALLY!!!

John & Sarah

I feel like it has gone by super fast...but then when I really think about it, it's like wait, it's ONLY been like two months? :(
Oh brother....the countdown continues...
Looking on the bright side: "I am two months away from having two months left!"

Weekend at Kate's!!

This weekend I went to Arizona to spend time with one of my most favorite friends from back in high school, Kate! (formerly known as "Katie") After high school Kate attended college at ASU and while there she met her husband Marten. They married after she graduated and now have two adorable boys named Jack and Liam.
Kate's 30th birthday was this past Sunday--and she made sure that we all knew it! The day began with brunch at the Cheesecake Factory with all the family and wonderful mother-Robin!! It was so delicious! Kate had the French Toast Napoleon with Strawberries & Chantilly Cream. I had the...yep, you guessed it...the Belgium Waffle with Strawberries & Chantilly Cream . It was the best that I have ever had....and I have tried them all! Then for dinner Robin made crab legs (at Kate's request), BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, and a raspberry spinach walnut salad--yum yum! The birthday cake was a layered Chocolate Mousse cake from AJ's. That was yummy too!
Some of my favorite lines from the weekend were when Kate was informing her 4 year old son Jack that gammy Robin was taking him to "Finding Nemo on Ice"...Jack thought about it and responded with "Yah-I don't know about that." It was pretty funny! He is really smart and speaks like an adult--like instead of, "I don't like walnuts" he will say, "I don't care for walnuts."
I myself learned a lot from Jack!!
I also have to give a shout out to her hubby Marten for watching the kids and letting Kate and I get away and have some girl time!! It was a fun filled weekend!!
Thanks Humphrey family!!
