SIX FLAGS

On Friday, December 26th we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain. My parents, John, my sisters Malia and Bekah, Ryan, my brother Neil, Anna and the kids, and my brother and his girlfriend Kelly all went for the day!

It was fun, but cold---ew California--don't be so cold--UGH!

This year we spent most of Christmas week at the Kimball's...

It was a fun but very busy week!

"POCKETS!"

A long running family tradition: When we were little, my grandma had an apron with individually swen on pockets for each of her 10 grandkids. Every Christmas Eve after our program, we would all scream "pockets!!!" and would wait for her to come out from her bedroom with her apron on and a mini gift for each of us in our pocket.

Now my own mom has carried on the tradition with a pocket apron of her own for her grandkids with room to grow....!

3rd Annual Traina Christmas Party

What a fun party!

We had a chocolate, choc chip cake from Nothin Bundt Cakes--yummm, a "mocktail" bar, s'mores (my favorite), fondue dipping, and a bunch of other good munchies.

The Traina's really know how to throw a party with all the best treats!

I saw the movie...and....

...it was what I expected...average!

My mom & sister Bekah came out for the weekend to accomplish two things: 1) see the movie "Twilight" & 2) get their hair done.

They came out Thursday night & we had tickets to see the movie at 10:30 Friday morning. We woke up Friday morning, had bagels & fruit smoothies & headed to the theater.

After the movie we ate lunch at Panera Bread Co. & then headed off to Costco to get Salmon & red potatoes for dinner that night! Can you tell that all I wanted to do was EAT when they were here!! HEHE! Why not take advantage of my mom being in town to help cook! YUM!

Then on Saturday we made yummy monkey bread & scrambled eggs for breakfast, did hair, & then went to "Linner" at Phils BBQ. Oooh!

I am sad we didnt take more pics....I am sure you are too--haha-(except this one in the theater). But I am on a "no picture allowed" thing right now....don't ask me why. :(

I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR BECAUSE....

EGG NOG IS BACK ON THE SHELVES!!!!!!

Every year at this time, I look at John & ask...."guess what's coming out in the stores soon??!!!" I LOVE...LOVE...LOVE Egg Nog & have a hard time at the end of the holidays when it starts disappearing off the shelves until next year.

Thankfully John is not in to the stuff, so when I buy it--I get to down the whole carton! YUMMMM!

Feels like Fall...looks like rain!

I FEEL LIKE SOUP!

It's starting to feel like FALL and it rained a little today...So... being the little homemaker that I am (HA-yah?) I decided to make homemade chicken noodle soup with the teddy bear noodles that I had bought in honor of "my bear" (John)!

I actually made the stock....

The "BIG" pot of soup...ummmmm did I make enough?

Okay, I admit it ended up being just "OK" and a little on the "bland" side. The parmesan garlic butter flat bread on the side did help flavor it up some though!
Johns comment..."It's fine...you tried!"

HALLOWEEN PARTY!!

This past weekend we had a mini Halloween Party.

John & I actually dressed up this year...as Popeye the Sailor Man & Olive Oyl...obviously...!

John was a trooper...I cannot believe he agreed to dress up with me!! I think he just liked the idea of having major "popeye" arm muscles!! It was a fun and pretty mellow night--but that's ok!!

Paul & Chelsey came as Billy Ray Cyrus & Hannah Montana!!

Jim & Annesa came as Dr. 90210 (Dr. Rey) & a plastic surgery patient! Love the collagen injected lips!

Dave and Jen were a baseball player and cheerleader...slackers! haha!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

PINKBERRY

On Thursday night Heather, Jen, Chelsey and I all went out for frozen yogurt to Pinkberry!

I along with Jen and Chelsey had never been there before. It's all the "rave" & Heather is additcted, so we picked her up to get her out of the house (been cooped up at home after knee surgery) & went for a drive!

I loved it!!

I got the original flavor with three toppings: strawberries, banana, & Oreo! YUMMY! They have a bunch of other fun toppings like: fruity pebbles, cocoa pebbles and Captain Crunch! Crazy!

I knew John would love it too, so we went out to eat that following evening for our Anniversary & then I took him to Pinkberry!
