James just finished his second year of medical school at the University of Washington. There was a White Coat ceremony where they receive their first white coats to use during rotations the following two years. I am so proud of James, he is so incredibly disciplined and really enjoys learning. This photo is of James and his good friend Clint. Often I am asked what kind of doctor James wants to be, and reply "a good one," I am convinced he will be a great one. I've also included a few pics of juniper only because I cannot get enough of her.

Happy Mothers Day
Let me make one statement to all mothers on this mothers day:
After the last 3 weeks, I will never see mothers again the same way. If you are a mother, you have just moved up 3,000,000,000,000,000 points in my book of admiration. really. they say you just have to have your own child to understand, and I used to think "yeah yeah...ok, i love my mom, i'm sure I'll love my kids." BUT...now after 3 weeks of life being much harder than I thought and much sweeter than I thought...I am here to give tribute to all Mothers: especially to my mother, my mother in law, my grandmothers, my aunts, sisters, and all women who have served as second mothers to me! You are all amazing! I've only been a mom for 3 weeks, but it is my favorite title to date. I have to remind myself that mothers have survived for centuries, and I can make it as a mother too!
My favorite Cousin, Fran, has been visiting this week. She not only is a fantastic friend to me, she is a fantastic mother. She has taught me a lot these last few days, and nurtured me as well as June. I love you Frandana. Also, my sweetie gave me an electric piano for Mother's Day, I think I could get used to this holiday! Happy Mothers Day!
Here is a sweet pic of James and June, my two loves! I know James is not a Mother, but he is so good to june's mother that he made the mothers day photo lineup :)
