Trip Summary

Here's the past few months in a nutshell. By the way, Happy New Year!

New Years -worked. Yay! Good patients. Please pray for a young patient. We stood and toasted with sparkling cider at the nurses station.

And,

because I had just landed, ran home to pick up scrubs and jet off to work -I forgot my wallet at home -was going to order food in, but obviously couldn't

fortunately,

one of the other nurses brought in a bunch of yummy food.

Funny how things like that (homework that needs to be done, supplies/food that is needed...

ALWAYS shows up.

Good work God!)

Graduate Studies

Reasons I love school:
-diverse and fun students
-actually having guys in class
-the PROFESSORS!!!
-one prof is an MD
-the content rocks

I am a bit tired, even though I didnt work at the hospital this weekend -but life has enough run around plus homework to keep me busy.
Unfortunately, I overstretched my hip flexor on an 8 mile trek from Cherry Creek down to REI and back. So tomorrow I'm gonna hit pool instead of the run mill.

This weekend I get to go see Mom, Dad, Matt, Dan, and Jan! Woohoo!

P.S. Caroline's wedding is in May and Margaret will be there!!!

Much love.

in need of a secretary

so. i admit that last post was a bit extreme. oh well. anyway, life is good. at my fav coffee shop in denver. fluid coffee bar.

its overcast, i love the stormy weather lately. friday wine nite after chocolate at church rocked. yeah for good girl friends. its great to have a dog around. classes start aug 23.

i feel a bit all over the place, kind of fractionated right now -a billion things to do, yet it is my one day off this week. should relax. atleast its a yoga monday.

life is crazy busy working 2 jobs (hospital and health dept) plus youth group and now grad school. i dont think i can manage all of this and still keep my room clean and remember to check my bank account balance. i guess i am excited but a bit overwhelmed with it all. seems like life already has enough fees and due dates and appointments. but health administration truly is my passion.

does anyone want to be my secretary for life? seriously.

p.s. im not really sure if im doing this blog thing correctly, but then again, i dont really care ;>

Ugh

I am utterly frustrated. I HATE dating. Truly, it sucks.
I love meeting new people and trying new things but in the end, I'm just not happy.
But I guess we need to take into consideration that my perspective is predisposed to a grand dose of cynicism right now because of sleep deprivation.
Dating is a great time to explore, getting to know others and yourself. But in the end, I am disgusted. What is wrong with me that I cannot attract people I who I can share attraction with?
I find myself being unsatisfied and possibly overly critical of men. There have been soo many occasions where some guy finallllllly gets up the courage to pursue me and then after a little bit, I turn him down. And those men I do like, I chase away! This IS a fallen society.
I know God has a bigger plan and patience is of utmost importance right now. But nevertheless, I AM FRUSTRATED.
OK. Enough venting, its yoga-time.
