Relief Society Activity

Come one, come all. We are gearing up for a fantastic year filled with food folks and fun. We are having our first "Relief Society Activity."

Now for those of you who think you have seen it all and could be possibly wondering if their is anything new that you haven't seen before..... hold on to your bonnets and prepare to be amazed.

Come Friday March 26th @ 6:00 and make sure you come hungry!!!

We have sitters for those who absolutely can't get those little ones locked up in the closet!! (Totally Kidding) Please let us know if you will be using the nursery that night so we can make sure we get enough adult supervision. We look forward to seeing each and every one of you.

Dinner will be held at the Lichlyter's Home followed by dessert at the Munoz Home.

Come and lift your holiday spirits with us as we celebrate the Christmas season.

WARD TEMPLE NIGHT
Tuesday, September 15th
6pm session and 7:45 sealings
Bring your names if you have them or if you are not going to be there, give your
names to Brother of Sister Mann so we can get it done for you. Also, if you need
names to do, we will have names at the temple.

HISPANIC STAKE CULTURAL NIGHT
Saturday , September 19th @ 7:00pm
Please come out and support our amazing Spanish Brothers and Sisters. There will be
dancing food and fun.

FABULOUS FRIDAY!!!

LADIES!!!

We want to make sure everyone has a chance to view the craft items we will be making for our FABULOUS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2nd from 6-11 p.m. We will have a light dinner and a limited nursery will be available. Just let us know if you will be bringing your kiddos so we may plan accordingly. We will have the display table up by the Relief Society Room with the sign-up sheets as well. Give your money to BECKY PLATT by September 20th if you sign up for the crafts, otherwise your project will not be ready for you! You may leave comments if you would like a project(s) or please sign up on Sunday.

These crafts can make great gifts for the holidays! I know it is early... but we like to have time to finish these sort of things :)

FHE CRATE KITS- $15 or KID CRATE IDEA

Personalize this wooden crate to fit all your FHE lessons for a year. Kits include wooden crate, hooks for family names, and FHE lessons. The 52 lessons will be given to everyone on Fabulous Friday, and the crate will keep them organized! These crates are on sale so if you quickly fill out a form we will know how many to purchase at the sale price.

Bring your own glass pan! (name size 2" x 8", will fit 9x13, 8x8, 8-9" round)

Never lose track of your dishes again. Also will make a great gift for neighbors, familiy, and friends!

ACCORDION MEMORY BOOK- 20 min (simple project) $3.00 eachPaper and Ribbon will be provided. Colors and patterns will vary. These 6x6 books are 12x12 scrapbook paper folded to hold your memories in an adorable way!

CUTE MAGNETIC TRAVEL CENTER- 20 min. (simple project) $2.00

Bring your own cookie sheet and create a fun gift for anyone! Paper and ribbon will be provided. Colors and patterns will vary.

LARGE CLOCK with FAMILY NAME - 90 min (3 step paint process, plus assembly) $40 estimatated cost (if we can buy all the parts for less, you will get money back)

LARGE MAGNETIC FAMILY BOARD- 45-65 min. Many steps to create frame, apply paper, etc $20 for large (display) $15 for small (1/2 the size of large) Colors and patterns will vary (or bring your own) Build frame from wood pieces, paint exposed areas, apply cute paper and ribbon and attach metal flashing. Put your important papers or the kiddos artwork up with magnets!

F A M I L Y Blocks (~60 min. paint, glue, apply) $8.00/set White painted blocks, black letters. Black and white patterned paper will be provided.

Choir Practice is Back

voice (even if you don't think we
do...WE DO)

The San Pedro Ward Choir will resume
regular rehearsals August 30. Come and
sing with us from 4:30 sharp to
 5:15 in the Relief Society room.

Weight loss Group

School is finally here and what a better way to begin the year. Here is the info if you are interested. We will keep track and keep you posted for the front runners of the prize money.

Everyone puts $5 into a "pot" (for the winner(s) at the end). We report weekly to a specific person who emails everyone's results to all those involved. It definitely gets you motivated knowing that you have to "report in" and everyone will see if you made any progress or not.

I volunteer to be the report-to person and will handle all the emailing of results, handling of "pot" money and divying it out to the winner(s) in the end. My email is maren.zimmerman@att.net. Whoever wants to be involved can email me so I can make a list of who's "in".

We are going to start on Monday, August 24th (when school starts) and end on the Monday before Thanksgiving (November 23rd). So, 3 months of working however you want to lose those dreaded pounds, and we'll hopefully see some major results in the end.
