FALL - nature's best!

I love the fall leaves. One of my favorite things about living in Utah was driving through Spanish Fork Canyon in the fall and seeing the beautiful colors. This picture is outside the Washington DC Temple in October about 6 years ago, the trees were so beautiful.

Fall brings families together as we all pitch in to make a big job easier, you know what they say... "Many hands make light work"

Doesn't a big bowl of cold peaches with some homemade wheat toast sound like the perfect breakfast? And of course eating it on the back patio on a cool fall morning is the perfect location.

Gabby just couldn't get enough of the delicious fresh peaches. One more before bedtime hit the spot. :)It was a long hard day but at least we have something to show for it. I have to leave the bottles on the counter for at least a day just because it makes me happy.

Ahhhh! Lake Powell makes me smile!!!

It has been way too long since our last trip to Lake Powell, (probably because everyone heard about the red jello incident and didn't want to invite me)

We are still exploring places we have not seen before.

This is Antelope Canyon, very beautiful!

Believe it or not, a big tour boat followed us into this canyon.

Holly's Heart made Whole

Tuesday morning May 26th Holly will have her Heart Surgery at last! There has been alot of discussion as to whether she should have the surgery or not, but after much contemplation and visits with doctors we have decided to move forward.

The things we hope this means is...

1. No more strokes (or slokes as Carter would say)

2. No more migraines. There is a chance she will still have them, but many people have had good luck with this.

3. Added energy each day.

Even though the risk and recovery are considerably less than with open heart surgery, it is still scary and we hope we don't have any surprises.

Hope all goes perfect...We love you Holly!!

It is about time!!

I know it is time for a new post and as things settle down just a little I will get to it. We are very happy to say that Holly, Robert and their family are with us where we can take good care of them. Robert has 6 weeks of school left so, he will be coming back and forth. He has been so amazing through all of this, I so appreciate the special care he has given to Holly as she has gone through this whole ordeal.
Thanks to everyone for your prayers and concern, we have felt much comfort and love.
