Addicted to CAS #41

Hello again!

I am back today with our new challenge at Addicted to CAS. This week our host is the lovely and very talented Loll. Today Loll has chosen the following code word to inspire us:

A very inspiring word for me this week as at this very moment as I am on my holiday. Here is what I created:

I have water coloured a sunset for you and added a few splashes for fun!

This week Karen is our Guest Designer and you can see what she and the rest of the team have created here

Our sponsors this week are Bugaboo Stamps-7 digis for the winner!

Right must go back and relax in the sun again!!

Inkspirational #59

A very Happy Saturday to you all,

I am here with our new challenge at Inkspirational but first I wanted to say that I loved visiting your blogs with our CAS challenge last week. We had so many fabulous entries. Thank you so much for supporting us!

We have a colour challenge for you this week and it is:

You can use any shades of blue and you can add black and realistic colours for skin, hair and fur but no other colours.

I found this challenge a challenge! Not sure why really but I think when I am faced with set colours to use my mind goes a little blank. Also I was trying to get this made before I went on holiday and think when I am faced with a deadline creativity escapes me! However I hunted through some other challenges and came across an 'Anything Goes' challenge at Clearly Besotted Stamps. This helped so far I don't have too many CBS sets, so I got them out and had a 'ping' moment to create my card. I used some turquoise embossing powder for the CBS sentiment and then various other blues for the Uniko Studios flower stamps. The more I look at this though I think they could be snowflakes so this may end up as a Christmas card! I was pleased to use this cream card stock as I haven't used it for a while.

Our Guest Designer this week is Laura who is super talented and her blog is just full of inspiration, check out Le-Design Boutique and she her wonderful creations.

And our DT have created some fabulous projects so please go and check them out here

Have fun x

TIME OUT Challenge #8

Happy Friday Eve,

It is time for our CASE challenge at TIME OUT Challenges.

And are very excited that Donna from 3 Umbrellas has agreed to join us and that we can all CASE one of her fabulous cards. Donna is a super star in the crafting world and I swoon at her cards. The card she has given us today is no exception. See what you think:

Isn't this just wonderful, so much to be inspired by. All you have to do is look at Donna's card and see what element or elements that inspire you and then go and create!

I did a CAS version of this as I was immediately drawn to the gold embossing and wanted to make this my feature. I had to get the colours in though. I used the orange base but really wanted to get that bright pink in somewhere. I played around with various different ideas and then just went for some sequins and enamel dots. I thought the bright pink one would look odd but once I added this, it just finished the card off for me!

This week at TIME OUT Challenges our Guest Designer is the very creative Marzena. She won one of our previous challenges with a stunning card. Please go check out her blog Macarena-Creativa, you will be inspired!

Then go to TIME OUT Challenges and see what the rest of the DT have created after seeing Donna's card.

Then, kick back and take TIME OUT to join in the fun.

I am away on holiday for over 2 weeks now and will not be able to comment on your creations as much as I would like but be assured when the wifi is working I will be checking your blogs out and will see you when I get back....I am taking TIME OUT to chill in the Cyprus Sun with hubby!!

Addicted To Stamps and More #100

Today is a very special day as it is Addicted to Stamps and More's 2nd Birthday!

Thanks to our very lovely leader Kylie and all you wonderful supporters, this challenge had grown and grown over the last 2 years.

And this week we are celebrating with a fabulous photo to inspire you to create:

Looking at this photo I knew it was an umbrella but all I could really see was a colour wheel and wanted to go with this but it took me ages to come up with an idea. However CAS(E) this Sketch came to my rescue yet again! As soon as I saw their sketch inspiration finally struck and I created this for you:

I have used a sun ray stamp to create the colour wheel and covered it in glossy accents-hard to see the shine from the photo but IRL it really is glossy. This took ages to dry but once it was the rest of the card just came together really quickly.

For our Birthday we are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps who are offering our winner 3 images up to $10 from their store.

And as usual you can check out the inspiration from out DT HERE and then we sure hope you join in our Birthday celebration.

I am at the moment on my way to the airport for a 2 week holiday so although I have some DT cards pre-scheduled I won't be around much in blogland until I come home...all tanned and relaxed!!

See you all then x

STAMPlorarations Sketch #14

Happy Monday my friends,

And my take on the sketch this week using masking and repeat stamping. I have used the STAMPLorations sets Vignette-grunge floral strips and Sentiment Builder-Happy

This really was not what I was going to make, I was going to keep the centre of the sketch clear but once I started stamping I went in this direction and decided to keep it one layer.
Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the super talented Deepti you can check out what she and the rest of the team have created for you here

Need some more inspiration? How about some prizes???

Time Out Reminder

Happy Friday Eve,

I am popping in today to remind you to check over at TIME OUT Challenges to see if you are one of our winners and also to remind you that our current challenge is still running until next Wednesday.

The theme is:

SUMMER is with optional twist of FLOWERS

And if you go for the twist you will be in for a chance of winning $25 gift voucher from out sponsors CAS-ual Fridays Stamps (chosen randomly)

This week I have a reminder card for you but I decided this week not to go with the twist and to use one of my favourite CAS-ual Fridays stamps sets Butterbows. I was inspired by 2 other challenges in creating this card. I actually made this card a week ago when these 2 challenges came out. I had a 'ping' moment! The challenges are Fusion and CAS(E) this Sketch. Here is what I came up with:

In Summer we get a lot of thunder storms but the rainbows that follow are worth it. The photo at Fusion was the first thing to inspire this, the little row of bright flowers. And then I saw the sketch and it just all came together. Isn't it a joy when crafting works like this!
I hope you note that I couldn't get all the colours of the rainbow in to fit in with the sketch so used the sentiment for the last colour.

I hope you come and play along with us at TIME OUT Challenges and if you include flowers remember you can win $25 from CAS-ual Fridays

And my inspiration:

Addicted to Stamps and More #99

Hello my friends,
It is time for my fav challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More. Yes it is our

Clean and Simple challenge.

And for this week I have created this card for you:

Before I go into how the inspiration for my card came about I wanted to let you know that our DT have made some fab CAS projects and you can see them all here.
Plus this week we have QKR Stampede sponsoring us with 3 digis for our winner.

Now onto my inspiration. I am always fascinated by how a simple card develops and sometimes I like to share this with you, however I know this is not everyone's cup of tea so just skip this bit if you want and get creating a CAS project for us at Addicted to Stamps and More.

This card was inspired by 3 challenges:

1. Fusion-it was DT member and my cousin Lynn who suggested you take a close look at the photo and you will see text on the table mats. I had it in mind to use the text feather stamp from STAMPlorations I have used here for this and was going to use the colours at Fusion until I saw the next challenge that inspired this card.
2. Less is More-to use the colours in your bedroom. Well it will be no surprise to many of you that purple does feature in my bedroom but not the bright purple I often use but this deep purple I have used on the top feather-that I stamped and fussy cut out and popped up on foam pads. And the other colours are the browns of the other feathers and the cream I used for my card base-which is my carpet!
3. And finally I saw the new challenge the lovely Darnell is running for NBUS (never before used schtuff!!) with the theme of friendship. Well Nonni visited me recently and we did a stash swap and these top 2 feathers she gave me and this is the first time I have stamped them up! So not only is this card for a friend but a friend gave me the goodies to use for it!!

All this to make one card! And can you detect the design element (mistake!!)....I didn't really want to add sequins but I managed to smudge brown ink at the last moment so out came the sequins...sssh don't tell anyone!!

We'd love you to display our banner

Addicted to CAS #40

Hello again!
I am back today with our new challenge at Addicted to CAS and this week the very talented Karen is our hostess. Karen has chosen the following code word for us:

I was quite unsure of what to make for this challenge but at the weekend I got a request from a Family member for a London themed card that had a red bus and Big Ben as the main elements. So decision made! I know you have seen me make a few of these cards but I have added different elements as I am not a fan of making the exact cards again.

This week our Guest Designer is Karen. I love Karen's cards and have been following her for a long time now. Her blog is full of inspiration, check it out here.

As always are DT have made some fab projects to inspire you, check them out here.

We are sponsored by Stamp Art Designs and you could win 5 of their fab digis.....so time to stamp away my friends xx

Inkspirational #58

Happy Saturday my friends and it is time for our new challenge at Inkspirational.
This week I got to choose the challenge and as you know I am a CAS lover so that is what I am challenging you all to create:

A Clean and Simple project.

Here is what I came up with:

I had a lot of fun making this as I got to play along with some goodies that I received for my Birthday from my lovely blogging friends Virginia and Kim. This was my first go at stamping on canvas and I love how it looks. I frayed the edges and cut it into a ribbon shape. And it was also my first use of Snap stickers. Such fun playing around with the colours and patterns until I was happy with the results.
AND please note.....no enamel dots, gems or sequins!!!

This week we are so lucky that Sue is joining us as our GDT. I have for a long time admired Sue's elegant style and you urge you check out her blog Sue's Card Craft. You can see what she and the rest of the team have created this week here.

I am going to enter this card into:

Curtain Call- Something Simple

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge-Guy card with ribbon
              Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog

And to finish off with I have a photo to share of 3 of Inkspirational DT meeting in London IRL.

From the left-Nonni from Finland, me and then Marina. Both Marina and myself are Londoners.
If you didn't already know Nonni stayed with me for a week and we had a ball!!

STAMPolrations June Challenges

At last Friday is here and today it is a special Friday as it is time for our Monthly challenge at STAMPlorations. This month our challenge is

You can interpret this as you want but you need to include at least one stamp.

At first I was thinking of stamping borders then I remembered the STAMPlorations Subway Art Builders set: create and decided I would take a different slant. And here it is:

I have popped up a frame die on foam pads and added the sentiment then used the Holiday Artsy STAMPlorations set to make it look like I had painted outside the lines! I like this take on the challenge as it makes me smile!

This month we have one of my favourite crafters Kim as our Guest Designer. Please take some time to check out her blog Art Keeps me Sane. And then pop over to our main blog here and see the fabulous projects our DT have made this month.

We have a few changes to our prizes this month. If you win and have used STAMPlorations stamps in your project you will get to choose 2 sets of your choice from our store here. But you don't have to use STAMPlorarions stamps and if you don't and win you will get to choose one set! Pretty good reasons to join in the fun!!

I have used more than one stamp so will enter this into Less is More

STAMPlorations Sketch #13

Hello crafting friends,

How sketchy are you feeling today? I hope you are feeling sketchy in a good way as we have a really fun sketch for you at STAMPlorations. Here it is:

I struggled with our last sketch but this one I really liked and knew immediately that I wanted to mask off an area and do some flower stamping. I actually designed my stamping to match the button I have used. I loved the pretty design on the button:

I have used the STAMPlorations set Vignette-Eclectic Florals mixed in with the stamp sets Background Builders Vines and Flower Power #1 from Uniko Studios. The colour scheme I got from the latest 'Thinking of You Challenge at Uniko Studios

The dark green really helped me out here as after I had made my button inspired strip, the button just blended into the stamps and I wanted it to shine. I tried lots of different ways to do this and finally decided to use the dark green flower punch to define it. And naturally I had to add a mix of enamel dots and gems to pick up on the colours!

This week we have the very talented Monika joining us as our Guest Designer. You can see what she and the rest of the DT have created to inspire you.

And don't forget we have prizes:

PRIZE
The sketch challenges are sponsored by our sister shop, All About Scrapping. The winner gets to pick 3 DIGITAL products from the shop — any combination of printable sheetsPhotoshop templates, and digital paper packs. The winner will also be invited to be a Guest Designer in next month's sketch challenge.
