FIRE!

The eight months we lived in the trailor were quite an adventure:)  One very eventful day was the day there was a grass fire!  David was home(thank God) and we were in his truck with the kids and we were actually going out to the country when on our way I saw smoke(from a great distance) and thought wow that sure looks like it is near our trailer?  The closer we got David and I began to panic(silently) and finally we arrived at the trailer to see all the grass right behind the trailer on fire!  It was VERY scary.  It was VERY VERY close to the trailer!  If we had not seen it when we did it could have just been Horrible!  It was sure exciting:)  I called 911 and the fire truck from Merkel came(not very quickly) but nonetheless, they got there.  David of course had already been spraying water on the fire so it wouldnt get any closer to the trailer.  God's protection was ALL OVER that situation that day and I am so grateful!  Here are a few pictures from the event:)

Football in Merkel 2010

This year Hunter decided to give football another run at it! He did very very well and enjoyed it alot more this year than he has in the past. Age and size help:) His team went undeafted the whole season and WON the superbowl! He was thrilled as were David and I. Here are some pictures from the season!

Hunter is 9 and Sydnee is 6! Hunter is in 3rd grade and Sydnee is in kindergarten!

This picture is the first day of school this year in Merkel! WOW how the kids have changed from then:( We sold our house in Abilene very fast and so we moved to Merkel the last two weeks of May last year. We had not even started building our house yet so we had a friend of David's graciously let us rent his 2 bedroom single wide trailer while we were building. We were so very thankful that it was available for us to rent or we are not sure where we would have gone. God is so good to provide! As you can see from the picture we also added a new dog to our family as well. Meet Duke:) The kids are having a great year in Merkel and have adjusted GREATLY! We are actually now in our new home that we built! I will be posting on that in the future. Like I said ALOT has happened since I stopped blogging!

I'm Back!

WOW, it has been a while since I have posted last:) Alot has happened and to keep from overwhelming myself, I am going to just take getting back into blogging slow. I love looking at other blogs and miss doing it too!

Christmas Eve Snow 2009 and kids being silly

We were so blessed this year! We got a WHITE Christmas. Christmas Eve it snowed and snowed and snowed! It was so beautiful and so much fun. Although my kids and myself are NOT huge snow playing people, we managed to get out in it for a few pictures:)

Dallas Cowboy Game in new stadium 2009

This was several weeks ago! My dad called me and my sister to tell us he got 4 cowboy tickets and wanted me, my sister, my mom and himself to go. My sister couldnt make it so my papa went instead. We had such a GREAT time! It was my 2nd time to see the Cowboys play but it was my parents and my granddads 1st time to see them and it was all of our first time to see the new stadium:) WOW it was amazing!!!

It was such a great day! the cowboys did NOt play well at all BUT they did win so that was fun! Thanks Dad for such a special day!!!!!!!!
