Beats Music
Together with The guys from The Line, Iria Lopez, Carlos De Faria, and James Hatley I had the enviable opportunity of providing animation for this commercial, made at Electric Theatre Collective, and directed by the legendary Shynola.
We animated digitally and then scratched and painted the final pieces on acetate. It was some of the most fun I have ever had on job, and working with Shynola was proof that its sometimes ok to meet your heros.

Together with the guys from The Line, Si & Ad, plus the excellent people at ETC, I helped design and animate this commercial for Talk Talk TV. Here's a few designs I did. This was day one, page one.

New Music Video
Easy - Mat Zo & Porter Robinson (Official Video) from The Line on Vimeo.
This is something I've been working on since the beginning of the year at our studio in Hackney. I was heavily involved with the compositing. I also worked on the storyboards and 2D animation.
Its directed by Tim McCourt and Wesley Louis. Our collective is called The Line.

Call for assistants

I have been working on a 5 minute short film over the last months with boy-genius, Bjørn-Erik Aschim. We're coming to the end of rough animation now and we're looking for anyone who might be interested in helping with the cleanup.
If you're amazing at drawing and know Flash, or know someone who does, please get in touch. We would be immensely grateful for any assistance.
Tom Loughlin has made us an informative and colourful website.

Thank you thank you thank you

Spent the last week setting up a new studio space with Bjørn-Erik Aschim. Soon to be joined by the animation dream team of James Duveen, Jon Topf, Fritzi Nicolaus, and Tim McCourt. Exhausted but smug.

T Shirts
I have been putting together a short film in my spare time with my friend and collaborator, Bjorn-Erik Aschim. 2 weeks ago we took a day out to print T-Shirts for all the people who are giving us a hand with our mountain of work. Thanks (once again) to Luke James, for exposing the screens, and for showing us how to do it.
Also, we have Tom Loughlin to thank for the wicked website he's done us. Stay tuned for more....

I put together an animation workshop in Myatt's Fields Park this weekend in Brixton as a part of The Big Draw.
It was so much fun.

A Tribute to the mustachioed master, and national treasure, Peter Parr, who retires this year.
Peter was the animation course leader while I was at The Bournemouth Arts Institute. He set the course up in the 70's, and between then and now has encouraged several generations of animators to go on and do great things, as well as putting together an awe-inspiring library of sketch books himself. Whats next Peter Parr?

(In going some way to answering this, PeterParr has forwarded me a link to his new blog http://peterparr.tumblr.com/ where he's posted several very nice sketches from his sketchbooks)
