First snow!

Today was the first snow of the season and the boys couldn't wait to get outside, as Ben put it, to use their shovel.

Here they are all bundled up.  Can't you see the excitement in their faces?!
Ben got into it and loved being out there minus the time he took off his gloves and picked up snow with his bare hands
Sam refused to keep his mitten on so he stood at the door and whined

Do 3-year-olds frolic in the snow and stay out for a long time?  The boys liked it but only for about 20 minutes and then they were cold.  It seemed to wear them out though because they didn't even want me to read them a book before they took a nap.

Baby Jingle

Meet our new dog, Baby Jingle!

My Aunt Marlene gave the boys a Christmas book about a good little dog named, Jingle.  Sam has decided now he is a baby version of that dog.  His name is Baby Jingle. He refers to himself as that and we are to call him Baby Jingle, as well.

Some little known facts about Baby Jingle
1.  He can't talk.  All he can say is "I'm Baby Jingle!", which he says many, many times a day.
2.  He never, ever listens and is very mischievous
3.  If Ben is playing with any toy, Baby Jingle likes to go over and throw it.
4.  That box in the picture is his new home.  However, it only lasted about 30 minutes because Baby Jingle jumped from the couch onto the box multiple times and smashed it.
5.  The dog catcher (Matt) likes to try to capture Baby Jingle.  Ironman (Ben) protects him and my (I guess I'm just me) main function is to sit there and let Baby Jingle curl up in my lap and protect him.
6.  When Baby Jingle is doing something bad and you tell him to stop he keeps on doing it until you call him Sam, then he listens- because Sam is a very good boy!

The King

Matt and I have taken to calling Ben "The King".  There are a couple of reasons why he has been given this title.  First, he requests opulent breakfasts each morning.  He would like bacon but usually gets eggs, waffles, yogurt, and possibly some toast.  Second, whatever he eats, he enjoys to the fullest - stuffing it into his mouth, leaning back in his chair to take a breath before going back in for more.  You can also tell how much he has enjoyed his meal by the mess he has made all over his face, clothes, and table.  The bigger the mess, the more he liked the meal.

Here is a picture of Ben getting ready to enjoy his breakfast (he also requests it be served on the couch while he watches his morning shows):

A shot of his eating. Notice the shoveling of food and lack of fork.  The King is hungry in the mornings!

Some of the stains are kind of hard to see but here is a picture of his soccer jersey (after I've washed it) after a trip to Taco Via.  The King loves Taco Via!
