Weather

Image
It's Groundhog day or weather at  http://ikesworldchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/  I don't really know what groundhog day is but as weather is mentioned I'm guessing it is the same as our St Swithens day that dictates the weather?  Anyway regardless of the meaning I went with weather and decided it was time I did some art journalling. I choose Ike's Wind fairy and created my own background using dies and airbrushing with promarkers.

Tic Tac Toe and some frosty Daffodils.

Over at  One Stitch at a Time  it is tic tac toe fortnight.  You can make your choice from the following grid: For my piece I chose, Distressing, Own background and 3 or more layers. The image I used is:  Christmas Stocking Doodle by Crafty Girl Creations. This is the result of my creations: I am entering it in the following Challenges: http://craftyhazelnutschristmaschallenge2.blogspot.co.uk/ http://doodlepantryblog.blogspot.co.uk/ http://karleighsuechallenge.blogspot.ca/ http://leinzlovetearbearschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ http://cardsgalorechallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ Recently we have had a really warm winter but just for one night we had temperatures of minus 4 and a frost the next morning.  It must have confused the daffodils because in the recent warm weather that had already started to bloom.  So with a frost and early spring bulbs flowering there was no alternative but to get the camera out.

New Beginnings

Welcome to my second post of 2016, don't panic I won't count them all, I am thrilled with this particular post as it allowed me to do some much craved art journalling.  It's "new beginnings" over at  Ikes World Challenges  and I decided that I would use the beginning of the year as my theme. I never do resolutions as I know I wouldn't keep them and fail to see why they are set at the beginning of the year when you can make an active decision to change a part of your life at any point in the year because it's not the timing that's important but the decision that you are ready and willing to try and make this change work.  So because I'm so anti resolutions I did wonder what I hoped for in 2016 and for me it was to continue something I began in late 2015, around autumn time I decided I wanted to be ME.  Yes that simple I just wanted to be me, to let the real me show and to forget or not even listen to what others thought about that. My art journa...

Anything but Square/Rectangle

Image
Happy New Year everyone!   This will be my first post of 2016 and I am afraid it's a busier than normal post.  I like to keep things separate normally, it's my ocd for organisation but I haven't had the opportunity to blog over the Christmas period, so I'm going to add a few bits onto my upcoming posts for a little while. I just hope that you don't get too bored with me! Firstly it's Anything but sqaure/rectangle fortnight over at:   One Stitch at a time .  It may be January but I'm slowly getting into the preparations for Christmas 2016 {I never like to be rushed} and therefore I am altering the tired old red cracker boxes and sprucing them up in time for Christmas. I have four triangular boxes of two sizes that I use {these will be updated again to something else in the next 2 years} to pop a treat, gift, joke and hat in.  Because they are triangular in shape they are blooming awkward to decorate and although I tried to airbrush I ended up sponge paint...
