May 2018

Here's Rett's shop being built. These guys did fast, good, and clean work!! And it's already being used to hold construction stuff for the house!! We just have to paint the door brown and get cement poured and it will be complete!

The house also progressed a lot this month!! We went from basement footings to mostly framed. We got out basement walls and floor poured. The trusses up and most of the exterior framing completed.

I went on Drakes field trip. It was lots of fun!

We celebrated Rett's birthday on Mother's Day!

Crew was a kindness rockstar!

Whit was less than thrilled during his preschool graduation with all the people watching! But after I did get a good pic of he and his only other male classmate!

Drake made an awesome weather report on tornadoes.

Whit and I climbed to the WS (West Side) with Crew and his class. It was quite the hike! I wasn't sure if Whit would do it. But he ran some of the way with the big boys and did great! Then turned around and ran back down!!

Drake got the citizenship award for his class this year. It was kind of a big deal. It's only given once a year and is for a child who is kind and helpful and respectful to everyone. I love that he shows his true colors and is an amazing citizen at school!
And Crew got the Presidential award which required a ton of memorization! I can't believe how smart he is! And I know he put a lot of time and effort into this work. Plus I think it's a great thing for kids to study!! It included...
Give Me Liberty Award requirements:
  1.    The Pledge of Allegiance (written test)
  2.     The Pledge of Allegiance (in sign language)
  3.     The Preamble to the Constitution
  4.    The Star-Spangled Banner (recited or sung)
  5.      The names of our Presidents in the order they served
  6.     The 50 states named and located (written test)
  7.     The 50 state capitals named and located (written test)
  8.       USA and continents located on the world map (oral test)
  9.      The Gettysburg Address (recited)
  10.     A line from the Declaration of Independence (recited)
  11.   The symbols of the United States (recited)
  12.    The symbols of the State of Utah (recited)
  13.   The symbols of ‘Old Glory’ (recited)
Proud of my boys and all their hard work in preschool, 3rd, and 5th grades!!!

Crew & Mrs. Lindsay, 5th grade

Drake & Mrs. Swann, 3rd Grade

We went on a little trip to Park City and had a blast staying in a condo with some fam.

Then we ran a memorial day 5k. Crew and Drake just amaze me with their physical abilities! They were so fast!

Dad brought Whit this big old toad one day.

And we had to do a little investigating online to find out what this bizarre bug was! We are thinking it's a Jerusalem cricket!! Creepy!!

April 2018

In April, Crew received his arrow of light for cub scouts. It was a pretty cool ceremony. We are proud of all the hard work Crew out into cub scouts!!

Zink had some bumps we were worried about and the poor guy didn't look very good right after the surgeries. But he is all healed up and happy again now.

Our Cruiser turned 11!!! Can you believe it? It seems like he was born just yesterday!! So glad this boy is part of our family. He is so helpful and such a good friend to so many people. I can't wait to see him continue to grow up!

We took the boys in a cruise in April. They had so much fun! And they got to see a little bit of Mexico too!

Drake had a cub scout cake auction. The theme was Hawaiin. He did a pretty good job on his tiki cake!

The boys and I were able to go with family to the Jordan River Temple open house. It was really neat.

We had a new cousin born! Strider is the cutest little guy ever! And the boys just loved him!!

And one of the most exciting things was our ground breaking for our new home!! So excited for the end result of this project!!
