I'm Posting!

Okay. I'll better update now that I've subscribed for the Internet. My goodness! It's a whopping AUD$300 for 12 months since it's cheaper to get a 1 year plan. I don't know what would Mom's /Dad's reaction be when he/she sees the credit card bill.

I'm blogging from a whole new city, a whole new continent. Orientation for the past week was a little draggy. (Aren't they always are?) We usually finish our activities at 1900 so we always have to figure out what to do. I've ended up rotting in my room, reading and chatting to whoever wants to come in. The internet was a luxury good then.

I've just moved into Vickery House. I'm like perpetually jinxed. My room faces the bushes, so there isn't much wind. The good thing is, I have privacy. The toilet has no shelf for me to put my shampoo, conditioner, shower foam and what not. So the only option is the floor (yucks!). Okay. i know, I'm this pampered kid. I'm still not used to the fact that the toilet, the showers and the room are all separated. So I had forgotten to take my clothes in earlier. Thank goodness I was not the only one. A couple of us were still running around in our towels. And! The powerpoints in my room are in the most absurd places. It seems that only my room is like that in the whole house. Argh! I will need lots and lots of extention wires to connect everything.

Anyway, I think I'll update more another time with pictures. I'm so tired with all the unpacking and I want to go and see the fireworks tomorrow!

Shout outs!

Why am I always the unlucky one? I had to sprain my ankle yesterday, but that's like not so bad cos as Auntie Tecknee puts it, it's disabled friendly in Perth. But why? Why must someone steal my shoe? And why of all shoe my favourite tennis shoe, which I always double-up as my gai-gai shoe cos I love it sooooo very much. And my heart hurts so bad cos I only had it for like 3 months and it did cost a bomb. A whopping $191 for a tennis shoe is not something I would do very often. I want to get the same pair again but the price puts me off. And I don't want my mom to nag at me since it's her money. She's already flipping over my course and now my leg and if I were to get the same shoe again, I don't know what's going to happen.

I'll be leaving tomorrow morning with a heavy heart as my beloved shoe will not be with me. Till then, I'll blog again in Perth.

It's exactly 13 days till leave this little island to a foreign land to start a whole new journey and do something that I will enjoy.

I never realised that I had so many things in my cupboard till I started digging them out.

I hate packing.

I'll miss my favourite food. Daddy was such a dear earlier. He bought a packet of bak kwa for me to savour.

I'll miss my friends, especially from A11.

I'll miss my prata sessions.

I'll miss driving.

This list can go on and on. OK. Back to packing.

2008

Happy New Year to everyone! 2007 had been a very bumpy ride for me. All of a sudden I have to deal with many complex matters. It is because of these matters that I would just like to remain as a 18 year-old. But enough of that on the first day of the new year.

Okies. So I went for the Sharapova-Chakvetadze match on Sunday. Thank you so much Jamil for the free tickets! Somehow I felt that the atmosphere was much better than in KL. And the seats were definitely much more comfortable too! Maybe I'm just prejudiced, but I'm not caring so much now. Game play wise, I thought it was quite good, but it was so obvious that Chakvetadze was paid to lose. Hello! 3 double faults in a row? That's quite impossible from the world number 6 player isn't it?

After the match, I was stuck in the car park with the traffic jam. So I was sitting in my car, replying to messages when I realised that the sports car on my left was shaking violently. Iwas surprised that a car of that made would shake so much when its known to be a very steady car. I turned, and then realised that the Chinese man with his Ang-moh chick were making out. Sheesh! The car park was packed with people (and children) and they might as well get a room or something. He could afford a car like that, getting a room would be peanuts to him.

I miss hanging out with my fellow A11s.
