It has been such a crappy week. I’m down with the flu, again. And this time, the virus is out to get me. Worst still, the crappy doctor’s medicine isn’t working on me. I’ve completed my course of antibiotics, the cough mixture and the cold medicine. But I still feel as shitty as ever.
I even had to play my tournament in a shitty state. I got a walk-over for my first round singles match, which was good as I had a doubles match an hour after my singles match was to be done. But it was such a pity. I would have liked to play Tessa as I don’t like winning without putting up a fight. As for doubles, it was seriously such a waste. I had always thought that Japanese were honorable people, but not anymore. Chelsea and I played two Japs. Throughout the match, there were so many dubious line calls that we even had to get the referee in. to our dismay, he was unwilling to umpire the match for us. Both sides even had problems with the tie-break where we disagreed on the score. When we had come to a compromise, I offered my hand but the just stalked off. Thank goodness the referee saw that and made them come back to shake my sweaty palm. Haha! Dad started paying more attention to the line calls. He noticed that in the third set, I had a couple of ‘in’ shots, whereas the bloody Japs called them out. I was so pissed when I heard that. I swore if I weren’t ill, I would have given them a punch in the face, especially when Chelsea and I lost the match. Imagine if the line calls were made accurately, the outcome of the game would have been different. According to some coaches (I shan’t mention who), this duo is notorious for their line calls. We should have been more careful and persistent during the match.
My route to the finals in my singles match ended today. I shouldn’t have played in my current condition. My five senses aren’t even functioning properly and now I’ve picked up a couple of injuries as well. The ball deflected from my racket and it hit my jaw. Nasty wound. It was so painful that I actually cried. Sheesh! I didn’t even cry when I had four teeth extracted from my jaw when I was 12. But honestly, it was really, really painful. Furthermore, it was bleeding so badly that when I spat some ‘fluids’, everything was red. It seems pretty serious. I’ve managed to close up the wound on my jaw, but for the one on my inner lip, it seems pretty deep. Up till now, it’s still bleeding. Hopefully whatever ice I have is able to close that deep wound. Everything is made worse when I played the worse game that I have played in two years tonight.
On the bright side, I’m not working anymore, for now. My one-month stint as a customer service officer at this workshop in Sin Ming is over. I can now concentrate on what I would like to do. However, it was such a pity to leave behind the people working there. I’ve made some very good friendships there. Everyone has been very nice to me. It was such great fun working together. These are pictures of some of my ex-colleagues.
This is a candid shot taken by Chin (my supervisor), who was having fun with my phone. The person in the picture is Jasmine.

This is Helen. Again, Chin is having fun. Haha! (P/S: The guy in the background is a very irritating customer. And he stinks too)

Finally! It was my time to have some fun with my phone. I caught Chin in this 'auntie going to the market' pose while he was going to wash his car! Hehe! =D
