Posted dated Jan's blogs

Every thing seems to be more settled down now. For some of you who would already knew, my dad passed on peacefully on the 24th Jan 2010. Was busy trying to settle the wake and some balance house holds issues.

Mum has decided to go back to the workforce and would most likely be looking out for some things to do once Ryann is more settled down in school. We have converted Ryann to full day childcare since 1st of Feb and Ryann seems to be adapting to it slowly. Frequent cries and refuse to drink milk initially but all thanks to 'smelly pillow'. He manages to sleep better in school with it.

In fact, there were so many things I would want to blog about in Jan but guess too many things happened recently and I got too overwhelm by the incidents. But I will just try to remember as much as I can.

Ryann's development:
Ryann surprise me with his longest spelling word - Sea horse.
His longest sentence so far: I want go Ah Ma house see auntie.
When I am having my dinner, he will come near me and say:” I, I want to eat rice."
He loves waking me up by slapping me on my face or arms and call Ma Ma in the sweetest voice.
His favorite tag line now:” I want carry"

When he is on half day still, I asked him:"Ryann, do you want to go to school"
He replied:” I want my school"
When he first started full day, I asked him again:"Ryann, do you want to go to school?"
He replied:” Don’t want." (*Faint)

More updates coming up soon once i manage to squeeze time from my school project assignments and work.

5th - 7th Jan School days for Ryann

Thank God for answering my prayers. Ryann seems to be adapting well in school.
All i get was a bye bye and see you at the door of the school.

Just as Ryann embarked a new journey in school, his first development progress shocked me. His longest spelling word: Seahorse.
I am really amazed by his memory skills.

There was one of these days where by hubby was the one who will bring him to school while i continued the train journey to work. Ryann was so upset that i didnt send him to school. He was practically whining and throwing tantrums. So the next day i decided to test him out. I waved bye bye to him and told him i am going to work and true enough he started reaching out for my hands. Well, i have to say it feels good but wait till you read on.

The moment we reach the school, Ryann dashed off to play with his toys and ignore our presence. When i called out for him, before i could finish what i wanted to say, he said:"bye bye ma ma, see you!" =(

** i know all my postings are late, and first time to even post 8 backdated post in a day. =p enjoy!~

4th Jan First day of school - Learning Kidz @ Kovan

I believe i am more excited then Ryann.

We brought a set of uniform for Ryann on the 30th of Dec. While doing the registration, Ryann was inside the class and he seems to be adapting well.

So the day came, both hubby and I were so excited, dressing up in uniform and carrying his school bags. We didnt really sleep well but thank God Ryann seems happy that day.

Happy Ryann in uniform
Pre-occupied with the toys. His favorite - cars, bus, trains and trucks.

Breakfast time with Rhys Kor kor.

Yummy!

Assembly time

Happy Ryann just cant seat still during assembly time especially during national anthem and pledge taking.

Trying to feed himself. His first meal in school.

crawling all over the place.

playing with the slides.

His choice among the many ride on.

Reading session before going back home.
I left him playing on his own while both hubby and I went for breakfast. Brave Ryann didnt cry at all and was enjoying himself.
He knows how to wash his hands himself and threw the paper towel into the bin without help.
Ryann wasn't paying attention to Chen Lao Shi during the mandarin session but joined in during the dance and play.
He was very participative during the music and activities segment.
He loves playing the slides and was practically climbing up and down. Down the slide, he would say 1,2,3, WEE... so adorable.
As the other kids enter into their nap time and mattresses were laid down on the floor, Ryann was on the mattress which belongs to one of his classmates. He then said to me, "I want sleep." So funny. My son really grow up liao.

Goodbye 2009 and welcome 2010

Fruitful year we had. This year was filled with lots of surprises from Ryann.
Times flies so fast. Ryann grew taller and we are hearing him talk more often.

Ryann mastered the alphabets and numbers from 1-20.
He knows how to spell more then 20 words and the longest is Rocket and the sweetest is Love.
He knows how to greet most of us. Pa Pa, Ma Ma, Ah Mah, Ah Gong, Yi Yi, Zhang Zhang, Auntie, Kor Kor, Jie Jie, Gu Gu and Ye Ye.
He will express his wants by telling us - I want milk milk, I want go home, I want gai gai, I want toy, I want yo yo (sarong) I want book etc....
He prefers to sleep on our bed then his own nowadays.
He will say bye bye, see you, muacks whenever we are leaving for work.
He is now able to tell us when he wants to poo. "I want poo poo"
He will take off his shoes and place them back to the original place every time we are back home.

Not that we are having good days all the time, he got scoldings from us big time whenever he does certain things that is dangerous.
Now after learning through the hard way, he learned to hold my hands while crossing the road and also to wait for us before entering the lift.

Ryann is a big boy now and i believe he is ready for school in 2010. Welcome 2010!
