Maui 2011

The last time Ryan and I were in Maui we missed the kids so badly. We decided that the next time we went we would bring them... WHAT WAS I THINKING? We had such a great time, but it was a lot of work! At least we made lots and lots of memories! This is what we did with the kids when we needed alone time... TOTALLY KIDDING! I'll post more photos later. I actually hurt my back there and it isn't getting any better. It still hurts to sit, so I'm not on the computer very much.

6 Months Old Already

My little Lukie Pie is 6 months old already. He is such a good baby. I wish he would sleep through the night though... He loves food and loves to be held by everyone. He also really likes Dora!? He's also a very big boy. I buy him 18 month old clothes! He's got two bottom teeth. Unfortunately he picks up everything and all that everything goes straight into his mouth. We all completely adore him. He looks so much like Cole as a baby. My boys are going to be tall, dark and handsome!

Report Card for Cole and Mom

This is a photo of Cole's report card he received a few weeks ago. I'm always so proud of what a great kid he is, but I had to laugh about the 'turning in the homework' comment. Cole is supposed to do his homework each day and then turn in his papers on Friday. He does a great job with his homework. It's me that has the problem with remembering to put the folder in his backpack on Fridays. I always seem to remember while in the car... Oh well! I told Cole I would try to do better. He told me it was okay that I forget. Isn't he so kind? :) Maybe they should give parents report cards too. I think I would have ended up with a big fat C. Hopefully I can report better news after the 3rd quarter.

Baylee's New Skates and Hairdo

Baylee has been driving me absolutely bananas lately. I think she has too much energy for the winter weather. I found these skates on clearance at Target for only $7. They've saved me from having to get the play-doh out everyday! Thankfully it didn't take her long to figure them out. Doesn't she look cute-minus the undone zipper and yogurt on her pants?

I just thought this picture was so funny. Ryan took the kids to the museum a few weekends ago. I was in a hurry to get everyone ready so I told Baylee she could pick out her own clothes(usually I just set them out) and to BRUSH her hair. This is what she came out in. Funny, huh? I didn't have the heart to tell her that I needed to repair her damage, but I wasn't about to let her out looking like this. I'm not sure what I came up with. She did end up wearing this outfit...

Who Doesn't Love Crust?

Cole, Baylee and Gabrielle all love cinnamon toast. Can you tell what they don't love? I was cleaning up the table and saw all of these plates and laughed. For the record, Ryan and I eat crust. We did not teach them that!

Wicked in NM?

Who would have thought that the musical, Wicked, would end up right here in Albuquerque? Not me. I totally missed the chance to see it when I wound up on bed rest with Luke. My ma and sisters ended up going to NYC without me and said I missed out. I was stoked when I found out it was coming and quickly snagged some tickets for Ryan and I. We loved it. In fact, I would love to see it again. Ryan was bummed that our tickets were for the same night as the big BYU bball game, but he got over it and only checked his texts during intermission. Thanks to Jimmer, it was a happy night for the both of us. :) Hopefully it won't be our last show here...

Birthdays!

Cole and Baylee both had their birthdays last month. Cole turned 7 and Baylee turned 5. I can hardly believe it. Cole requested Pei Wei for his birthday dinner and chocolate cupcakes. Baylee requested Subway and cherry cupcakes. My family was in town for Christmas so we also had an early surprise party for Baylee. She loved it! They're such great kids and I'm just thankful I get to hang out with them.

First Ski Trip - 2011

Still working on my NYs resolutions... :)

Durango Mountain -

Our first ski trip of the season was perfect! We met up with the Barnhursts who live in Colorado. We haven't seen them since 2007! We had a great time catching up, skiing and chillin' out. The kids all had a great time getting to know each other again. We'll definitely be doing this again! The hotel we stayed had the best view ever. I'm still 'stuck like glue' to Luke so I didn't ski, but I enjoyed the view. It was like I was out there skiing too! :)

I forgot to mention, for Baylee's sake, that she loved skiing. She's gone before, but this time she was old enough to really enjoy it. Ryan took the funniest video of her skiing down the hill. All I can hear in the background is Ryan yelling, "Turn, turn, turn, not that way!" It was pretty funny because Baylee was slowly heading over a little embankment. It wouldn't have hurt her, but Ryan would have had to fish her out of there.
