My Little Poet Camryn

Camie brought me a poem a few minutes ago and it sounded really good so I called her to my room and asked her if she made it up or copied it from somewhere. She assured me she made it up and that at school this week they have been studing Japanese folklore and poetry. Here is her poem.
The Great Blue River
I see a river, it sees me.
It looks back at me when I look at it.
She points at the river, it points back.
He kicks a ball, so does the river.
We all jump up and the river jumps up too.
We run all the way to the end of the Great Blue River
but it does not follow us.
Camie
-Not too shabby.

Daryn's Haircut

Daryn has been begging to get her hair chopped for like... forever, but I always so no because it is so beautiful. But after her almost in tears every morning fighting with tangles and her hair just a bit scragly everyday I told her this morning that we would cut it. I didn't mean to go quite this short but she was thrilled. Good thing she is cute enough to pull off any hairstyle. It was fun, as soon as I cut off the fist chunk, it went right into spirals. Hopefully we can just get away with scrunching it. Love you Daryn.

Camie's Asia Class Day

Once again I was blown away by Grayhawk Elementary. The class Mom goes above and beyond when it comes to planning projects. The last month for their core study thay have been studing Asia so they had an Asia party. First they had a 3 course meal. Sushi: donuts, fishes, twinkies and more rolled up in fruit by the foot, 2 course full Chinese meal with teriyaki chicken, rice, chow mein, oranges and more then dessert. After they made China dolls and elephants. It was fun seeing her with her little friends and making stuff with her since that is her favorite thing to do. Love you girl!

(She has a denitist appt in 2 weeks. :) She was very proud.

My Moms new business. Addy Jay!

I am so excited for my Mom. After years and years of sewing and countless blankets and bibs, we finally convinced her to start a business. We decided on the name Addy Jay because it morphs a few of her grandkids names in one. The new Web site is www.AddyJay.com and she has over 50 designer fabrics that you can choose from. All bibs are really high quality, reversible and 3 layers. A designer fabric on the front, shape holding muslim in the middle and then a coordinating, absorbant chenille on the back. If you are looking for bibs or for a perfect baby gift for friends think about getting them one. Thanks! Liz

A clock in the turkey?

Today I asked Abby to come with me to check if the turkey was all done. When we lifted up the foil she asked, "why is there a clock in the turkey mom?" I love how little ones are so dang logical.

One Lucky Girl!

Well it is Thanksgiving morning and my kids are busy all around me, and I am grateful for the chaos. The last 10 days have been good and busy and kidless. It has been nice using the creative side of my brain full time but it is nice to switch back to the mom side. Just being back with them for a few hours I forgot how much work it is. It made me that more grateful for an incredible husband who TOTALLY stepped it up and has been playing Mr.Mom all by himself. He had the kids at the bus stop on time everyday, arranged his own babysitting, cooked dinners, kept the house clean, made daily trips to the pool, took the kiddos to the library and even sounded pretty positive everytime we talked. It was so good seeing him last night when they drove into San Diego. It felt so good sleeping in him arms and knowing that I get to grow old with this man. I am grateful that our relationship grows stronger and deeper to each other every year that goes by. It is amazing the relationship he has with each of the kids and how they love each other. My kids are great. Annoying, whining and a pain at times but also so affectionate, thoughtful, goodhearted, kind, loving, smart, funny, happy and wonderful. I am so grateful for my parents and siblings and extended family. I am grateful to be in Arizona. Grateful to be away and only have my little family to focus on. To strengthen our little family unit and enjoy each other. I am grateful for God and words of the prophets. For the direction is gives me and peace it brings into my often times chaotic life. I am grateful for friendships, for children, for nieces and nephews that are a blast. For sunny weather and my laptop. Life is good and I am so grateful that I am writing this with a smile on my face. I know that I am one lucky, blessed girl. I love you all and wish you a wonderful day and great kickoff to the wonderful holdiday season.

Tyler is 5!

My big boy is 5! I can't believe it. We celebrated it the night they pulled into Becky's house. He loved all his presents. The helicoper and shirts from Grandma, the wallet which contained $5 from Aunt Becky and the cowboy boots from Me and Katie. He has played with and used all his gifts everyday since. His birthday was a little generic but he loved it and felt special. Love you Tyler. So proud of you and am glad you are my boy.

Seeing my favorite little people - my neices!

I went up to Modesto for a bit on Saturday and the highlight was seeing all my neices. I made a quick stop to see my sister-in-law Erica. It is always so good to talk and laugh with her. Madeline drew me athe sweetest little picture of butterflies and sweet Kylie let me love on her. It was fun seeig the new craft stuff she has been working on and some more of her cute bows. If any of you need bows to match holiday dresses or anything else check out her web site at http://www.madaboutbows.com/ Love you guys!

Christmas & a bar-b-que at the pool. Perfect!

I love Arizona. I love that we can decorate my house for Christmas in the morning and then have friends over for swimming and a bar-b-que a few hours later. I came to Cali a few days ago to work on a new marketing program for 2009 with my Dad's company. I will be here until I meet up with Ryan and the kids in San Diego a few days before Thanksgiving. That is why I wanted to get Christmas up so soon. Never launched the whole Christmas thing in my house until after Thanksgiving but decided, heck why not this year. The kids had more fun than ever helping. They have always seemed to be more in the way when it comes to decorating in the years past (I feel like a bad mom writing that... but heck its true) but this year it was really fun. They were all very careful with the ornaments and then later in the evening after we got back from the pool and showered, we read Christmas books and did the whole eggnog/hot chocolate thing. It turned out to be a fun day before I left them for over a week. This isn't good because it is only Monday and I am already starting to miss their sweet cuddles I get to wake up to often. Love you kiddos. See you in a big week!

2 Big ol' Bellies!

Tonight Mom made a fabulous dinner for when Dad and I got back from the airport. After we stuffed ourselves with that good foos, she pulled out mint brownies and strawberry shortcake. We were soon all totally sick to our stomachs and went to relax on the sofa. Katie lifted her shirt so we could "play" with Lucas (she is due the end of January). Addie was sitting on her lap and lifted up her shirt too. It was so cute with their 2 big round bellies so I had to snap a picture.

Fun at the Train Park

We had a great time at a really cool park about 10 minutes from us. It is designated as the "train park." I went with my frind Liza and her 2 boys. It has been fun getting to know here because we have alot in common and our kids do great together. Her son Carter is Ty's age and her little one "Mac" is Abby's age. At the train park we rode the carosol and little train, played on the playground, had a picnic and then went through thebig train. Fun day.
