So things are busy. Maggie is in extracurricular activities, I've picked up another part time gig and time is going fast. Not to mention, since I started this blog I have started posting on Facebook and Instagram and I just can't keep up. So ... this will be my farewell post. I know ... all four of you reading this are sad. :)
But, let me wrap up the last month for you. It was full of birthday fun ...
A family trip to downtown, IU and ice skating ...
And of course celebrating Christmas ...
AND a surprise trip to the farm to ring in the New Year with family and soak up some great farm time!
So thanks for following, reading and enjoying all of our adventures. If you are on FB or instagram, you'll see me there. Mom - I think you may be the only one who isn't, but I can send you pics periodically!
Have a wonderful 2016 and beyond!

Candy Making
A long standing tradition in my Mom's family is candy making. I took off to Illinois this past weekend for two whole days devoted to candy making ...
Turtles (over 500 to be exact) ...
And chocolate as far as the eye can see. Mint, lemon, lime, peanut butter, candy cane and the list goes on ...
I can't forget to mention the "molds" ... not my favorite, but pretty none the less ...
I was tired. I was cranky. BUT, it's a tradition I wouldn't trade for anything.

Family Vacation
A huge perk of our semi-balanced school calendar is having the week of Thanksgiving off. With Ryan's busy season preventing most summer trips, this is a built in week to enjoy some quality family time.
We started out in Toronto ...
Headed to Niagara Falls ...
And ended up with family in Ohio ...
Can't think of more to be thankful for!!

A Wonderful Weekend
Our weekend has been great. Ryan surprised me with a day full of fun on Friday (manicure/pedicure, shopping, surprise night downtown!) and it was a blast.
Saturday was Halloween and we had fun with Ryan's parents and some friends.
And here is the costume in the making ...
