The pandemic finally over

By 2024, the pandemic is over. We finally decided to build a house in our Yuma lot. A lot of work to clear the lot to build; we rented new storage to offload our stuff accumulated after 5 years in Yuma. We are definitely are pack Rat. The cost of building a house has risen from inflation. The US printed too much money during the pandemic to counter the effect of recession. The usual economic growth will take a while to absorb that new money.

Trading is still our passion, so we are slow to build the house because of that. RV travel has become a lower priority other than seeing doctors and family. 

Yuma is the capital of winter lettuce in the US. It is also a Snowbird destination in the winter from Canada and Northerner. The car below was from Alberta, Canada.

Drove the electric car to see Padraic's sister

In March, the pandemic seemed to take a break. Padraic drove his electric car to see his sister after a year.

 

Padraic drove to Phoenix and brought a new pellet smoker from a seller.

 

2022 Second year of full pandemic.

Old Virginia German neighbor Norbert came for a visit after he drove across the USA for fun. He stays for a few hours and keeps moving on to the West - Los Angeles to see Star War attractions. He is a Star War fan, while Padraic is a Star Trek fan. Padraic fired up the BBQ smoker, brought in Virginia 7 years earlier. Use it the first time and make delicious BBQ ribs and pulled pork a few times throughout the year. It took 8 -11 hours to cook each time.

In the pandemic and a new President in the US, we got the vaccine for the virus two times. First one in April and 2nd dose in October. Padraic and Willie have a day or two side effects from the vaccine. Along with mask-wearing, we are doing quite well being isolated.

2021 Learning day trading

2021 was another pandemic year of COVID-19. Padraic & Willie stay put in Yuma. Not much travel except to Padraic's sister's house in Walnut Creek, California. It was a full year for Padraic to learn how to be a day trader in the MNQ Future market from CME in Chicago.
