i'm really quite depressed. this new bunch of boys i'm teaching.. somehow feel i just cant click with them..cant reach out to them... yesterday's two-hour long session trying to just make sure they discuss their projects day proposal w/o turning the classroom upside down was insideschurn-inducing to the max.
it left me really quite bare not just physically but more emotionally as well... trying to assist in the resolving of conflicts of aLLLL shapes and sizes..
i've faced my biggest challenge yet...
how do you teach children to love one another?
i discovered u can fumble about and do ur best to make lessons interesting and information appealing to them.. and make them at least want to bear and sit thru a subject...
but how do u teach them to be more respectful of one another? how do u tell them why they should stop saboh-ing each other for the sake of preserving their own interests?
i'm at a loss. very heartache leh..
i miss my old boys.... sigh.
arghh...dont know if i should really pursue the path of an educator... and it seems i gotta decide REALLY soon.

I had no idea how many pple i know are actually enrolled at SSDC... hahaha.
am amazed not only by the number...but also by the way i bump into them. one by one.
and i'd really wouldnt be too wrong if i said that behind every encounter.. was Serendipity on overtime for me.

i was waiting for my 240 slot.. feeling absolutely sleepy and in need of some sweet to perk myself up. with half an hour to e start of lesson, i decided to do a little exploration of YCK stadium just across the road from the center. haha no sweet shop..only vending machine so i got something cold to freeze my face and sleepy head a little.
this sporty looking girl was in front of me as i finally left the stadium and headed back.... just ard the bend that lead into the centre she turned..
haha yay so marks an encounter with the first familiar friend.
though we dont really noe each other well.. but i guess the u cant help but feel a tingling warmth when u see a nice old buddy with whom u've had some really fun..treasured memories. funny how u have a school mate u see around alot.. dont talk to her much..but find that u CAN talk a lot to each other when u DO meet somewhere, someday, on any old street.

not kidding when i say its been six years since i last... SAW him. hahaha walking out of centre a bit slower than before cos i was a bit depressed at how lousy i was at the lesson..then there was this guy in a bright yellow shirt in front who seemed to be turning his head back quite a few times while walking. pity i was too sad to really see his face and he later walked off.
next time i was back.. there on e tv screen with the lesson schedule i clearly saw the name of my good ol' primary school classmate cum pb friend.

i was LATE for lesson... chionging into the centre...both legs cramped from making the ultimate 300m walking-dash to the centre from YCK station. at the entrance, was stopped in my tracks by this girl, with shocking red hair and a loud outfit. haha the moment of being stumped was shortlived...for who else could it be but Sarah chian?:D
ahaha. must have been two years not having met up with this girl. think she proclaimed herself...my oldest laopo! -grinsss- gosh i miss spsb!!! :'(

my goodness. this dear dear old pal i only met bcos i decided to go to the toilet after lesson... and "tu2" a bit at the centre before making my way home...
she's still gorgeous. still sweet. still that really funky sec2 tablemate i love talking to:)

if i had walked out without my random trip to the loo i wouldnt have met her,
wouldnt have caught sarah at the door if i left school earlier to catch 852,
had primary school memories jogged if i hadnt i walked like a snail cos i was sad(err,weird but nvm:P),
wouldnt have trailed behind the sporty girl i didnt know i knew..if i hadnt developed a sudden desire to explore that ulu stadium..
Spontaneity can be really... beautiful.
