We hosted our annual New Years Eve party this year. We had some yummy brisket and lots of food. Unfortunately Russ' traeger wouldn't ignite and so we asked Scott to smoke the brisket at about 11 pm the night before. Also, I decorated so cute and the other families just let their kids destroy the decorations. I was mad about it but pretended I didn't care. The families kids were out of control. One kid had our plunger at one point and was walking around with it. Another kid stole a permanent marker and drew on our walls. One kid had a gross runny nose and cough. Overall it might take me a whole year before I'll want to host again. Maybe not ever again with those same families.

Christmas in Color
Our annual Christmas in Color night. It was surprisingly "warm" for a winter night. We invited the Naylors to come with us. I sure love Scott and Brielle but I cannot stand their kids. Haha. Afterwards, we went to Starbucks for some hot chocolate.

Christmas Sing-a-long
I went to Hallie and Brooks' Christmas sing-a-long programs today. The gym was absolutely packed and I was in the very back corner. I made sure my kids saw me as they were walking out. They each had their turn to sing with their grade but it was very hard to get a decent picture of them. This picture of Brooks was sent to me from another parent. Hallie sang "Light of Kwanzaa" and Brooks sang "Walking in a Winter Wonderland."

Soccer Christmas Party
Hallie really is so lucky to be on her soccer team with such a great group of girls. Most of the parents are so great and there is little to no drama between the girls or the parents. Ady's parents hosted a Christmas party for the team today. They played minute-to-win it games, had a secret sister gift exchange, and had dinner. Hallie went home with a Chick-fil-A gift card from Kam.
Hallie's Basketball
Hallie is playing Jr. Jazz with some friends from school (Navy and Bentley). She absolutely cooks and by far is the best player on the team. She is so incredibly athletic and her soccer abilities help her so much with being physical. There are some players on her team that are decent and then there are others that can't even catch a ball. The best part is that Russ is the coach. It's not his favorite to be the coach but Hallie loves that he is so I'm glad he agreed to do it.

Service Project
This year we assembled and donated birthday cake bags and birthday party packs to the Birthday Box Foundation. Every child deserves a Happy Birthday and I loved doing this service project with our family!
