Celebrating the 24th!

I guess I am a little behind on my blogging-but what can I say-I will spare you my excuses. :)
Yeah, the 24th of July was almost 2 weeks ago but I still wanted to post about the fun we had.
We began with the Fun Run-I use the word "Fun" lightly-just kidding it really was. Curtis signed us up for the walk and so we got up early and walked the Fun Run. I know it makes all the sense in the world. But we made it! I jogged with Curtis for a few block and then told him to go ahead and ditch me because I was about to die! He ran most of the last mile!
Then we took the kids to the parade. We always sit at the very first. So this year the kids got to watch the parade and chase after candy (That is how I get the candy to pass out for Halloween-TOTALLY KIDDING!) and then at the end they hopped onto the firetruck with Curtis and rode it through the parade.

The races were fun! The kids get their quickness from me! LOL!
It was Taryne's first year but she doesn't really like to crawl on the grass so grandma helped her walk it.
After the races the Fire Dept. does a coin dive for the kids. Sammy was pretty excited for that AND she got 11 cents!

That night we were excited that they told us we could do fireworks here in town.
Austin didn't want to come outside at first but as you can see he eventually came out and joined in in all the fun.

My San Francisco Trip

I finally sorted through my pictures and picked some of my favorites from our San Francisco trip a week ago. I had so much fun! There was a lot to see. Just a note for anyone who has not been but wants to go someday-apparently September is the time of year to go. As you can see by what we are wearing in our pictures-July ain't all that warm. :)

To jump or not to jump? Better make a call!

It was really neat to see the Golden Gate bridge! It is so high!
Can you tell it is a bit cold and windy?
These are pictures from the Ghost Hunt/history tour. I say history tour because we sure as heck didn't get to see any ghost. :(

Fort Point was a lot of fun! April, Cindy, Jenn, and I learned how to load and fire a cannon, and then received our certificate along with the requirement that if there is ever another civil war we are to show up.

DEFINITELY had to ride one of the old Cable Cars! Yeah Rice-A-Roni! Cindy wouldn't let us sing the song. :) That was defiantly a highlight if you ask me.

We took the tour at Alcatraz. Very interesting!

A BIG HUGE THANK YOU to Curtis and everyone that helped watch the kids while I was gone. I REALLY appreciate it! Thank You! :)

Ice Cream -You Scream!

The other day Curtis, the kids, and Jenn came out to Cottonwood and got ice cream cones. Jenn let Taryne taste hers and then lets just say THERE WAS NO TURNING BACK! She LOVED it!
When they got home Austin just gave her his. Curtis-the good husband he is-took pictures for me. I thought they were way cute!

Tomorrow I am leaving for San Francisco! I am sure there will be more to post when I get back.:)

Is that smoke I smell?

Last Tuesday the Enterprise Fire Dept. had a cookout and invited their families. It was quite fun. They pulled the firetruck out and let the kids explore it, and we ate some yummy food. Everyone on the Dept. got into their getup and we took pictures.

Curtis is second from the right in the front row.

The kids LOVED playing on the firetruck.

Taryne loved the food and even found a little friend.:)

We really appreciate our volunteer fire dept.

GO BRACKENS!!

Monday Curtis started the fall season of men's softball. The league bumped them up from D3 to C4. The kids and I really enjoy going watching Curtis. It is a bit warm-OK FREAKING HOT!- right now there in St. George, but we will SACRIFICE. :) Monday they ten-runned the other team and won. The second one they lost. I don't know why-beats me!

On the Move and a Great Breakthrough!

Taryne is 8 months old now and she has hit some milestones this last month. This last week she just started crawling! Backwards at first, but now FORWARD! She is exploring everything, and climbing everyone and everything! :)

She also cut her first TOOTH! My other two kids cut theirs at between 4 and 5 months, so we have been expecting teeth for quite a while, and now one has finally arrived.
Can you see it?

I Wanna Be a Rock Star!

Here are our Rock Band pictures. It was a lot of fun! Trav TOTALLY ROCKS at the guitar! I TOTALLY STINK at the drum especially. Everyone else just did their best and ROCKED THE HOUSE! LOL!
NOTE: If you look close you can see how much my mom wants to be a Rock Star. :)

Our July 4th Weekend

We had a fun July 4th weekend. We began by going to St. George Thursday night to the movies. We watched Wall-E. Really Cute! The first movie that the kids sat and watched the whole thing without even asking to go to the bathroom. Even Taryne watched most of the movie before falling asleep. We spent the night at Trav's and then we all went to Quail the next day. It was a HOT day-perfect day to be on the water. Some of us should have applied the sun block a few more times but we all had fun.

It was Taryne's first life jacket experience. She was NOT happy for the first while but as you can see she did finally decide it was not that bad.
After the lake we went back to Trav's and had a cook out. We didn't even make it to the fireworks. Jenn made us banana foster and then we played Rock Band until late. Jenn arranged for us to have GREAT ROOMS at the Marriott that night, AND an AWESOME BREAKFAST the next morning. {NICE!} Thanks Jenn! :) And by the way, if anyone is ever looking for a fast and DELICIOUS breakfast-go to the Marriott breakfast buffet(The omelets are WAY YUMMY!).

Girls Day

When the boys went to L.A. we girls decided we would go check out the new Rec Center in Washington. I thought it was way fun. Taryne LOVED it! Sammy thought it was fun but was bummed because she wanted to go down the hydro tube but they wouldn't let her go with her life jacket. I thought it was a little weird that they don't allow any floaty things-just life jackets in the pool. Taryne enjoyed the little swings and fountains. Sammy really liked the lazy river. It was a fun pool! Thanks for the referrals. :)
