Weekend Getaway!!

Weekend with Wendy--my W.W.W.!!  We started this last year and I hope to continue it every year!  It was such a nice break.  We started off Friday late morning going to lunch at Bite Size (yummy!!) and then we got pampered with pedicures and manicures.  My toes are the neon green and Wendy's are the purple.  We shopped at a fun Fall Boutique.  Then we got dressed up and went to dinner and a play.  We saw Little Women at the Centerpoint Legacy Theatre in Centerville.  What a nice production!
Then after a wonderful night's rest and a relaxing breakfast, we drove downtown and went to the Salt Lake City Temple and did a session.  It was wonderful to go there with one of my closest friends.  We took pictures after we changed though...
Then over to City Creek for some window/wishful shopping!  I think we both found some lovely jewelry for our husbands to buy us at Tiffany's!  :)
I'm so lucky to have Wendy as a friend.  We are so close, I love it.  Several times we had people ask us if we were sisters-and even one time ask if we were twins!  I love my friend and loved my weekend getaway!

More company

Well, between company at the beginning of the month, going out of town for a week and now company staying with us again-it has been a pretty full month!  Josh's parents came to stay with us for 8 days right as school was starting.   We love having them come visit, it is always so great!  One of our outings with them was to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden.  Pretty cool place.  Nicely done inside and out.  Loved this picture of the girls being 'eaten' by a T-Rex.
Another outing was to go to Bite Size, City Creek, and then Temple Square.  We started a tour of the Conference Center but just as we started, an organ recital was going to take place so we decided to stay and listen to that then finish the tour.  It was neat because afterwards the Organ player let the girls come up on the stage and watch him play.  The recital was a great highlight of the day.  Then we continued our tour, which took us to the roof of the Conference Center.

While they were here, of course we had to play sjoelbak.  Smokey thought it was fun to play too!

First Day of School

Can't believe the summer is over!  Welcome back school!  The girls were super excited to start back up again, they really missed it.  They are growing up-Bailey is in 4th grade and Erin is in 2nd!  My beautiful girls!!

Washington Trip

My mom, the girls and I went to see my brother and his family in Seattle.  We had a great time!  This picture above  was taken at a fun park that we went to.  Bumper Boats!!  It was pretty funny, Bailey was always going after Melissa, never anyone else.  Erin went with me once and Dave once-she was great at the water gun!  Then we also did some miniature golf, the girls first time.
While we were downtown Seattle, we spent time at Pike's Place Market and new this year there was a large ferris wheel put in just off the water.

We went to a Minor League Baseball game--Boise Hawks vs Everett Aquasocks!  After the game, the kids got to run around the bases and got a certificate.  They had never been to a baseball game before.  It was great because when they played the song "Take me out to the ball game", the girls both sang "Root, root, root for the Cubbies" instead of 'home team'.  Josh's mom sings it that way to them and they didn't even know that Cubbies wasn't the real word until that night!  It was pretty funny to listen to them sing it.

Webby and the kids!
On our way, we made a nice stop at Snoqualmie Falls.  A nice view, lunch and break from the car!
